i have this Arris surfboard svg2482ac modem/router which i bought with TP link Deco x60 router. I did not know that The Arris was both modem and router so. when i set it up I was using The Arris for everything. I was having connection issues and started looking into it and got the tp link working properly.this now has a different IP address which works out great with everything except the printer (hp Officejet 4620). i am unable to get it to recognize the new IP address, it still shows the old one. It will only print with the USB enabled desktop.

is there a simple work around that a novice could do to enable WIFI printing?

If you have switched the ARRIS SVG2482AC to bridge mode, it will disable the Wi-Fi feature on the gateway, allowing it to function solely as a cable modem. This setup enables you to use the TP-Link DECO as a standalone router.

However, if the SVG2482AC is not in bridge mode, both the ARRIS gateway and the TP-Link DECO router will broadcast Wi-Fi signals, leading to network conflicts. To avoid this, you can either use the ARRIS gateway as your Wi-Fi router or convert it to bridge mode, allowing the TP-Link DECO to manage your network. This way, all your devices, including printers, will be connected to the same network.
