I understand that the modem's front panel is completely off. Please confirm whether you currently have an internet connection.

If there is no internet access and the LED lights are entirely off, I recommend trying a different power cord and plugging the modem into an alternate power outlet.

If the issue continues, please proceed with a factory reset of the modem to see if that resolves the problem.

svg2482ac...does it have a fuse...Mine is dead

I don’t believe any home networking equipment comes with fuse.  Definitely not in any SURFboard products.
