I had a TM1602A that crapped out on me so I replaced it with the same one...now, I can't connect with my optimum router. Do I need to buy a new optimum modem?? Since this newly replaced modem is refurbished...I dont know the password or how to get it....any help would be great!! Tks!
I doubt the refurbished condition is causing the issue. Based on my knowledge, TM1602A is only leased by service providers and there are many variations of that model. You need to check with Optimum to see which modems works on your Internet plan. I believe Optimum allows docsis 3.1 modems on all of their service. But take my word for it, check with them first hand.
