My g34 was purchased 6 months ago, and for the first 5 months, it has worked flawlessly. Now, I have to reset it daily (sometimes multiple times per day). The internet and wifi completely drop, and the light on the modem/router goes from solid blue to flashing blue or flashing green.
When the lights are flashing, there is no internet. I work from home, this is super inconvenient. I have changed the WIFI band, I have tried ethernet cable connection instead of wifi. It’s like the g34 had a built-in detector that knew it was 6 months old so it started to degrade.
Also, I have to physically restart it, it doesn’t work if i restart from the admin pannel on 168.1.0.1 it doesnt resolve the issue.
Lastly the app on android continues to refuse to connect. Wi-Fi communication failure. error 0000-1612. Every single time. So that is also useless.
Intermittent connection or no internet access occurs usually out of cable signal level, out of acceptable range and it will be resolved after the power level are adjusted by the service provider.
So for this we need to check the cable signal level to confirm what causing this issue to proceed further.

Also If other Wi-Fi sources such as neighboring wireless access points are using the same wireless channel, this may cause intermittent connectivity issues, even if the competing signal is relatively weak. Changing the wireless channel within the gateway can improve connectivity.

After changing wifi channel as recommended on the link restart the modem then we would request you to monitor the connection for next 24hrs.
Once the issue get fixed you can complete the surfboard central app setup and you can check for the modem status on the SBC application.
