new G34 hooked up today internet and wifi working but when i open surfboard app(yellow) it says “cannot connect to wireless gateway” also idk the login info for the new G34 for the app.
any help is appreciated thank you!

In this case we would suggest you to use the surfboard central app not the surfboard manager app. please follow the steps mentioned on the below article to setup the app for your modem.
