Hi, folks,

I’m trying to set up this model of modem for a VDSL service and while the modem acknowledges that it is a VDSL2 connection when set to automatically detect, it never connects to the internet. I have sync but no connectivity. Light status is as follows:

Power green

Globe red

Wave 1 green

Wave 2 off

Wifi green

All lights are solid. I am using PPPoE to connect. Any help you can provide in setting up this connection would be greatly appreciated.

We have tried other modem brands on this same VDSL connection with no issue, so it’s not the line.

I don’t know much about this device, from Google it looks like it may be a service provider specific device. And my knowledge of PPPoE is a bit rusty, so we’ll start off easy 😁

Have you entered your PPPoE username and password in already?

If you have already done this, you can try and contact your provider to ensure that the username and password is correct.

If you need it, I found these instructions online on how to setup using PPPoE

HardReset.info:

  • The first thing you need to is to connect to the NVG448BQ
  • Then log in to the admin page using the devices IP address
    • The IP address should be 192.168.0.1
  • Then find network settings. It could be called Wan settings or straightforward PPPoE settings.
  • Search for PPPoE connection details.
  • Enter Username or ID or Login, and Password given to you by your Internet Service Provider.

Hope this helps!
