CAN'T LOG ONTO MY ARRIS SURFBOARD SVG2482AC GATEWAY LOGIN

When I activated my ARRIS router way back in 2019, I gave it a custom USERNAME and PASSWORD. I tried logging in today using the two I chose, or at least wrote down. It will not let me in. I tried the factory default (username: admin and password: password) No go. My question is...is there anyway to reset my logon username and password without doing a factory reset?

is there a new version of the svg2482ac or model with telephone and battery backup?

hi there surfboard people, my Arris svg2482ac is working, but, the battery backup is not. I’m told not to invest in another battery. The prior battery replacement purchase was a dud, with no returns allowed, thanks Amazon. I’m looking for a replacement router (Arris or non-Arris) that has the same features, telephone jack, battery backup, compatible with Xfinity. Can ya help me? TIA

arris svg2482ac intermittently drops 2.4ghz wifi

Every few days my 2.4ghz WiFi will disappear. Removing power to reset it works but I can’t figure out why this happens. Never happens on 5ghz Things I’ve tried: I have tried manually changing the channel but that didn’t help. I changed channel bandwidth from 20/40 to 20 and that didn’t help. I’ve posted my current settings. Ran WiFi spectrum to see what was going on (see picture) Any ideas? Ed

Surfboard SVG2482AC no internet with Windows11 laptop ?

Hi, I recently bought a new to me Lenovo Laptop with Windows 11 on it. It works fine at my business with the Verizon router but at home with the Arris on Xfinity it will not allow me to access the internet ? It says “connected” but no internet access. I am using Firefox but have tried Edge and Chrome just to be sure it wasnt the browser. Any thoughts ? Is anyone else having the same issue ? The Modem/Router is probably 4 years old ? I cant seem to find a way to check to see if it has the latest firmware. I have a desktop, two phones and a tablet and all of them connect just fine.

ARRIS SVG2482ac - unable to connect wifi internet

Recently purchased ARRIS SVG2482AC 3:1. WiFi is not connecting and when it does it goes off periodically. Customer and tech support was not helpful and since it is a 3 year-old product I was not able to get refunded nor any assistance to figure out why the Wi-Fi is not connecting constantly. They wanted to charge me additional money to service. The modem, and I was never able to get the help. I needed very disappointed customer and I will never buy an ARRIS surfboard modem ever again. The modem needs an upgrade and the Wi-Fi is not connecting, and I am not able to use the a product. It is a complete waste of money…

My Aries surfboard got put on bridge mode now I have no Wi-Fi I am able to connect with a laptop but it will not take the username and password I cannot log into gateway also try resetting factory settings and using admin and password as password and nothing can someone please help

Setting up my Picstar picture frame with my new dual band Surfboard router

Bought a new Surfboard dual band (2.4 & 5g) router and setup all my devices, (ie. phone, printer etc) seamlessly except for my wireless Picstar picture frame. Contacted Arris and they helped me name each band with a distinctive name but still no help. The second name for 5g is not showing up.

how do i add a 2.4G wifi network to my svg2482ac modem/router?

I have an arris svg2482ac modem/router and i was gifted a device that requires i have a 2.4g wifi network as opposed to the 5G wifi network i currently set up through this modem/router, how do i add a 2.4 wifi network to this modem/router so i can connect this device? Is there a specific app I should add to my phone to affect this? How do I connect my phone to this modem/router - I guess which surfboard app do I need? Can I please get basic advice or instructions to help here? Thank you, Simon.

Surfboard svg2482 ac - switched to bridge mode by accident now i cannot reach GUI login

i switched my router from bridge mode to i think access mode. i am trying to go back to bridge mode and i cannot reach the login page. just times out…. i also connected my laptop directly into modem and the problem persists.

arris surfboard svg2482ac router ports and wifi not working

I have reset back to factory setting multiple times. I have no wifi from the surfboard or connection from the ethernet ports to my desktop. However, I do have connection from the ethernet port to my Google Mesh. I have been on customer support with Xfinity and they said everything looks ok on their end. Arris wants me to purchase a service contract of $40 to fix it. I might as well just buy a new one at that price. Any ideas?

Arris SVG2482AC - wifi gui not loading in browser

Arris SVG2482AC I reset the router to the factory default. I am able to to see and connect to both Wifi connections and I can connect directly using the ethernet port. I am also able to ping the the router @ 10.0.0.1 on all three access points. But I am not able to open the web GUI console (http:/10.0.0.1 or https:/10.0.0.1). It just spins and never timeouts with any errors. I have tried Google, Firefox and Edge browsers, all having the same result. Any suggestions on what to try next would be greatly appreciated. One question, does the router have to be activated by Xfinity to gain access to the local router first? I was thinking I should be able to login and reset the password from the default before activating it. Thank you Don

SVG2482AC battery backup not working during blackout

My SVG2482AC battery backup is not working during blackout; when the power comes back the battery light on the modem is illuminated; when the power is out the battery light was off. Any help appreciated.

Please help me home network share files using my ARRIS SVG2482AC

I have routinely shared files + directories from my DELL Desktop to my LENOVO laptop. Yes: I know how to configure Win11 to share files with full permissions. My former NETGEAR WiFi-Router made this easy across my home WiFi, same channel, but the Netgear broke. I replaced it with an Arris SVG2482AC I configured for ‘medium security’. Now I have no functional home network. My Desktop + Laptop cannot see each other on my WiFi network. Please help me share files across my WiFi home network between my desktop & my laptop. Thank you.

Connect hard drive to AC1750 on SVG2482AC

I’d like to connect a hard drive to my Surfboard AC1750 (aka SVG2482AC) to share files across my family’s Windows home network. I connected a drive to the USB port, and accessed the router/modem. Online instructions I’ve seen for the AC1600 say to click the USB tab at the top of the Surfboard management page (which I accessed via browser at http://10.x.x.x), but no USB options exist for this iteration of the Arris page (see screenshot) and there doesn’t seem to be a way to access/add a USB device. Is it possible to add a hard drive to the AC1750/SVG2482AC?

I bought a router of this series and brand on Amazon, the problem is that the Wi-Fi comes off already connected through phones and computers and the Wi-Fi network connection does not exist, it does not appear, help me, I paid 130 for the new one, it is connected to the ixfinity network, I already entered it, Manuel, mind you, how is it in the router, it does not appear, it does not exist, as if there was no Wi-Fi
