i have had 2 SB8200’s and neither one would ever show docsis 3.1 and with several phone calls and house visits from techs they said nothing was wrong on their end but as soon as they hooked up “their Modem” it instantly showed docsis 3.1 with the blue lights… could i really have 2 bad 8200’s or is that their way of getting me to rent their equipment?

were you getting your speeds? 

It doesn’t matter if its saying 3.0 or 3.1 if you’re hitting the appropriate speeds


speeds were slow but we also got hit hard by huricane helene and they pretty much had to rebuild their entire network we got service back on november 4th and everything seemed to run around 80mb i have 1gb copper ive never had an issue until the storm and they came out 3 times and checked everything and said all was good on there end i tried 2 arris 8200s and 2 different modems with no luck then a senior tech came out with there hitron coda 56 and magically everything was fixed...i find it hard to believe as i have never had an issue with arris have always used them since they were motorola thats why it seems they are doing something shady to get everyone to rent their equipment to maybe recoop some loss
