Just want to confirm if the unit I got has busted ethernet ports. The front indicator lights on my modem and my ISP show connection is fine. However the lights by the ethernet ports don't seem to go on except when the device is first turning on. My router is showing no connection to the modem and tried the same with laptop with different cables and got the same thing. 

I assume the lights on the back by the ports should go on if the ethernet port(s) are working. Is that correct? Also I'm only using one port at a time.

If you have a working Ethernet port on the router or computer and the Ethernet cable is fine, you should get an activity on the SB8200 Ethernet port when the cable is connected.
