My SBG 8300 was working perfect. One day I did not have any service and the front panel was black, no lights. I unplugged the modem and repowered it on, only 5 quick flashes were seen, nothing else. does anyone have any ideas what is going on?

Glad you got something figured out. You might mark it solved/fixed so others aren’t still trying to address it :)

did they keep flashing?

what happened afterward?

You can check your warranty status.

unplug the coax and try booting it up. I’ve seen it where if the coax connection is to hot, it causes it to reboot/loop.

If that doesn’t help, you might have to check on an RMA

I have not been thinking straight since this issue. Thanks for the link to check warranty status. I was under warranty until May 2025. After speaking with someone at Arris Support and following their TS steps, the same you described, rebooting without the coax, a RMA was initiated and the modem is on the way back to them. Hopefully in a week or so, I will have another and back on business.

Thanks again,

Reaper
