We just bought and hooked up a SBG8300. It seems like the range is terrible. We’re trying to hook up our Ring cameras around our yard, which worked fine before, and they keep disconnecting and saying they have no signal. Is it the range, or is there something else going on with it? Ideas?

We had a Motorola AC1900. It’s at least five years old I think and was really slow, but it worked fine for the cameras. No message about poor connection. Our house is about 2000 sq ft.  Last night even the ones on our front porch and garage were not working, but they seem to be working ok this morning. The garage one is probably no more than 30 ft from where the router is if you measured it straight there, although it goes through a couple of walls. Maybe it just needed some time to get all set up?

or there could have been interference. you can always try changing the 2.4ghz wifi channels. What are the exterior walls made of?

Never mind, we’re going to return it. It is still going in and out a lot, and it’s just very annoying.
