Basically the passwords provided for GUI are way way too short and hackable. I need ones that are over 20 characters long to be safe. And the ability to change them at will.

If I change the password in the GUI then the app no longer works as the change does not “cross over”, which means I always have to change it back to original in the GUI to then check the app, then back again to the longer password in the GUI, which is totally silly.

I have searched and searched in the app, with zero success. How do I change the GUI admin password using the app, so that both the app and the GUI have the same password (but longer and more secure)?

Help.

You can’t that I’m aware of. but you could always log in through the phones browser

If you have already set up the Surfboard Central app, I would suggest checking the app, as it generates the password for the web interface.

Please follow the steps provided in the link to locate the password for the web interface login credentials.

You can change the GUI password directly in the web interface, but please note that it cannot be changed through the Surfboard Central app.

Please select the link below where you can find the steps to change the GUI login credentials

Note: If you change the password for the GUI login, the app will no longer be able to communicate with the G36. The password generated by the Surfboard Central app is unique and specifically used for the web interface and every other users will have a different set of password being generated by the app.
