Everything worked fine. I was rolling off a promotion and Spectrum a new one on my account. When they did it, they said my modem is no longer compatible and I have to buy a new one.

Is this correct? And what’s a cheap SB I can buy if I need a new one?

Thanks

Yes, we recently received updates from spectrum that they have remove docsis 3.0 devices from their compatible list and only Docsis 3.1 devices are compatible but not sure about the locations where it has been implemented so to help you with the Arris modem recommendation you can check for SBG8300 or you can look for other 3.1 docsis devices on our official  site shop.surfboard.com for product details and specifications and also before getting the unit check with the device compatibility with your service provider.
