Initial activation-dont see the modem in the network - SB8200

I am trying to setup my ARRIS modem MODEL SB8200. Xfinity has done everything on their end and can confirm there is a strong signal, however I am not seeing the modem in my network to login. Please advise...

Its not a router. It has no wifi. You won’t see anything to log in. 

You’ll connect a router to the SB8200 and use that to connect to

As mentioned earlier, Please connect a “Router” to the cable modem to obtain Wi-Fi. Also, check on the Wi-Fi network name on the bottom/beside the router, it will either be mentioned as “SSID” or “Wi-Fi Name/Password or Wi-Fi security key”. 

The device that had been mentioned is a cable modem SB8200 Docsis 3.1 which is only a wired device connected to a router to provide wireless internet.
