Hello I just bought a sbg6700-ac brand new I did not realize ot was so outdated is there any way to update it or update the firmware is super slow and I'm paying for much higher speeds thanks.

No, you can’t.
The firmware is part of the provisioning from the isp. Nothing the user can update.
And that was a base model device for docsis 3.0 and for the wifi speeds.
What speeds do you pay for?

I get at the most 86 mbps I pay for 500 plus speeds .thanks
Is that wired? What hardwired devices are you testing on?
Wireless? If wireless, what device are you testing on? What band? 2.4ghz or 5ghz?
