Benefit of upgrading SBG6782-AC

Forum|alt.badge.img

I no little about modems and routers just curious if my existing surfboard (SBG6782-AC) is outdated and any suggestions on an alternative and what would be the bennefits of upgrading .

PS: I have infinity cable so my existing router/wifi is compatible .

Is it causing issues?

What speeds do you pay for?

it isn’t the fastest device but if you’re not paying for the fastest speeds, it’ll still work fine.

I am paying xfinity for (Download speed: up to 200 Mbps, Upload speed: up to 10 Mbps)

should I upgrade my existing surfboard SBG6782-AC and if so do you recommend an alternative modem/router combo?

Please help?

Regards

If it gives you full speeds and your devices aren’t having issues, then I wouldn’t worry about it. The longer you wait, the better device you get when you upgrade.

If you’re running into issues, let us know what they are (with a full description) so we can better help. Sometimes it isn’t upgrade the modem/router, sometimes its switching to a modem and a mesh system. Or simply adding an extender. Details are key to proper help
