I want to adjust my setting to 2.4 GHz only to see if Sonos will be allowed to access my music library on my new Windows 11 PC.   According to the SBG6782-AC user guide, I am supposed to be able to access settings by entering the IP address into my browser.  I get the following error message:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to IP ADDRESS. Peer using unsupported version of security protocol.

Error code: SSL_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED_VERSION

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

How can I access settings now that I cannot even connect?  I have tried three different browsers without success.

I accidentally found the solution in the Community post entitled:

192.168.0.1 uses an unsupported protocol

Hello Kage,

Which browser are you using? Have you tried to test other browsers like Firefox, Edge, Opera…?
Also, when you get that message, you do not see any other information on the page, like “Advanced”, “Show Details”, “More Information”?

Firefox, Chrome, Edge, all the same.

Amongst other things, Firefox offers that “Some websites try using outdated (no longer secure) Transport Layer Security (TLS) mechanisms in an attempt to secure your connection. Firefox protects you by preventing navigation to such sites if there is a problem in securely establishing a connection. Contact the owners of the website and ask them to update their TLS version to a version that is still current and still secure.”

Chrome and Edge only offer it is an unsupported protocol: “The client and server don’t support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite.”

See the Community post I previously referred to for the solution, which indicates that Chrome and Edge have excluded users from overriding certain TLS protocols,  The work around suggested in that post, and which was successful for me, was a clearly stated step by step process using my usual browser, Firefox.

I realize that my router is maybe 6-8 years old, but it is a shame that Motorola/Arris does not readily provide the work around or have an easier to find solution than me accidentally finding the solution in the Community.
