Forum|alt.badge.img

the app causes log in issues, arris support doesn’t care about product issues, it’s an issue ongoing for years never been fixed, they tell you to do a hard reset, which happens almost daily, if i did more research i would have never bought a garbage arris products ever

We apologize for the inconvenience. Could you please provide more details about the exact issue you're encountering during the SBC app setup?

Have you customized your Wi-Fi credentials, or are you still using the default settings?

Do you have access to the modem's GUI web portal?

Besides the app setup, are you facing any other issues with the modem?

thank you for your response, i have contacted arris support and at that time all they could do for me was to tell me to do a hard reset. i was doing a hard reset more than three times a week. my g34 wifi is always off, i log into my g34 using desktop connected thru a lan cable (which is secure) user name is admin and my password, then turn on 5g network, type in a 4 letter capcha (which is a extra layer of useless security because in order to get to this point, the hacker has to be connected to my router thru lan cable, when finished using wifi, i would use surfboard mobile phone app to de-activate wifi, and thats where the issues show up, cannot log into to router or router cannot be detected type of messages, and one message that says i should use the useless recommended surfboard mobile app, which is the root of all the login hard reset issues i have, once i stopped using the poorly written surfboard app the issues stopped. i activate/deactivate wifi using desktop and have not done a hard reset in a while now, i deactivate wifi when finished using wifi, due to software awareness, and my conclusion is, it’s a software issue not a hardware issue in compatibility, i never had any of these issues from motorola, netgear, or any other modem/router i ever owned, i will never buy arris ever again in my opinion the arris g34 is not worth the headache to own
