I bought the same modem/router Arris NVG443B, I am currently renting from my service provider. It lights up and works or shows that it should.  My provider says it shows it is connected or working.  My desktop  computer won’t connect to the internet, my phone recognizes it, but will not connect either. I am trying to get away from the monthly rental fee.  What are my options to try to get it working?

Thank you.

Arris supports only the retail products that are available on surfboard.com but not the ISP lease products. Please contact your ISP for further assistance.

If its leased? go through the ISP. Its their product and they maintain it and the line. Thats the one benefit of leasing versus owning is they have to do the troubleshooting.

I got it to work, the modem/router I bought. It was all a matter of perseverance, calling the help desk for my provider a few times until I was connected to a person that could solve the issue.

Thanks for the tips and answers.
