I just bought a surfboard g34 router/wifi gateway because my netgear modem died today after 14 years of faithful service.  RIP

 

I was able to get my surfboard activated with spectrum and my one desktop has internet.  However,  nothing else can get access to the internet through the surfboard.  I was trying to use the app on my phone but it can’t connect to the internet through the router because the wifi network says “connected without internet”. 

 

I tried connecting my extra (home/guest) router to the surfboard via ethernet, and it doesn’t have internet either.

 

But when I try to setup the router further, I open 192.168.0.1 on a browser and it asks for a login.  I haven’t setup my login yet because the app on my phone can’t  complete the setup.  The app cant complete setup because it’s not online through the internet. 

 

Am I taking crazy pills?  Why is only one device able to connect to the internet, and what can I do to complete the setup of my surfboard?

Please make sure that your modem has been properly provisioned by your internet service provider by checking the WAN IP address on the modem GUI, Since the surfboard central app setup is incomplete you can uninstall the app and then perform hard reset on the modem, after modem reboots completely you can try checking internet on the devices connected to modem network.

Factory Reset:  At the back of the modem, in the middle section you will see a small hole, inside that hole there is a button, and that is the reset button, please insert a paper clip or a tip of a pen and hold it for 15-30 seconds until all your lights go off, afterwards wait until your device fully boots up.
