I talked to Xfinity about activating it, and gave them all the information they need to put it on their network. The modem part seems easy peasy.
But I don’t recall what WiFi network name and password I created years ago. Is there a way to reset it to the factory settings? I am out of warranty already so I can’t ask Arris Surfboard for help.

You should be able to search for “SVG2482 reset” in the community home page and that should link you to the article that has the instructions.
