For some reason I cannot access the Arris SB6183 modem UI at local IP 192.168.100.1 or 192.168.0.1 . When I connect to the modem ethernet to PC directly I get an error saying no IP assigned. I'm not sure what is expected of a modem when it comes to DHCP, but something is acting weird. Any suggestions welcome.

when you direct connect your pc, you’d need to power off the modem and the computer for a couple minutes. then power the modem back on and let if fully boot. Then the pc.
are you able to ping the modem at 192.168.100.1?
have you tried a different pc/device?
