forgot user name and password

I forgot the user name and password to my arris Surfboard SBG8300 and also the password for the cable modem manager.

 

How can i recover them or reset them to the default?

    There’s a reset button on the back of it above the ethernet ports. Push and hold it while powered on for up to 15 seconds. the lights should change. then you’d need to reinstall it .

    Current setup: Netgear CM3000-->Netgear RBE973S-->2.5gig tp-link switch, Xfinity 2.4gig/350mbps
