I set up my email and password on my Arris surfboard gateway and i can login via the 192.168.0.1 IP address but when i use the same email and password for the surfboard web manager it responds with incorrect credentials and won’t allow me to login.
I don’t understand this as they are supposed to use the same login info. Why does the surfboard app not let me login?
Sherry, the short answer is that the app stinks. I found that ARRIS Surfboard Manager App has limited ability and often does not represent the true settings on the gateway, especially if you have lots of parental controls (which are poor controls at that). I think it was intended for a quick way to modify the gateway but I found it so prone to error that I stopped using it and just use a browser on my phone when I needed quick access. I found that Safari will retain my user name and password for quick access, whereas other browsers would not.
