I bought a arris modem and I had issues installing it before I use to Have a netgear . I need help

Installing cable modem is nothing but activating modem by contacting your internet service provider by providing them your modem HFC MAC ID mentioned on the modem label to get the device activated, once the device activated you can connect router to the modem to access Wi-Fi.
