How can I now about updates for the firmware for Wi-fi Cable Modem

I  installed the model Surboard SBF10, I just need to know if the firmware is updated or how can check for updated and steps to do it?

do you mean the SBG10? (there isn’t an sbf10)

If so, its a modem/router combo device. the firmware is part of the provisioning the ISP sends to the device. It isn’t user updateable.

Current setup: Netgear CM3000-->Netgear RBE973S-->2.5gig tp-link switch, Xfinity 2.4gig/350mbps
