My wifi has been seup for about two years now and I had no issues logging in with the old app. But now whatever I try, the new app doesn’t let me migrate because it thinks I’m not connected to the network even though I am. And the only other options are to “activate the network” which it has been for a while.
I AM JUST OUT OF WARRANTY AND MODEM HAS A DHCP PROBLEM. HOW TO RESET MODEM?
This has been a terrible experience thus far. I have tried to set up the first main router and it took 3 hours for "connection" progress" . Then at nearly 100% says "We are experiencing an issue connecting with out back office". Edit: I tried 4 different Android devices and and my last shot before returning was an apple iPad. The apple.Ipad worked! Don't use android during set up, it will take days and then fail.
I need the password to connect to Wifi
I just bought a G36 yesterday, activated it on xfinity last night and multiple times today it has lost connectivity. Sometimes, the modem shows it is connected and has DNS and IP from xfinity but none of my home network PCs or devices have internet access. Other times it shows connected (solid blue light) yet I can’t get on the internet or even access the admin page to check status even though I my PC has wi-fi connectivity and can ping the management IP of the gateway. I’m tempted to return this and go back to my old modem. Is this thing really a piece of garbage or am I missing something?
I am trying to disable DHCP on my SVG2482AC router but I do not see the option anywhere. I bought this device on my own and got it activated by comcast. I see various other DHCP options like begining and end addresses, but no option to disable it entirely. It looks like I am running this software image: SVG2482AC_3.14p16s1_PROD_sey which from my understanding is Comcast’s custom firmware. Is there a way I can disable DHCP myself, perhaps by re-flashing the retail firmware somehow?
I can't find my wifi account after uploading s34. On my computer
I recently purchased a G54 and W133s. I was able to set up to the G54 without issue. When setting up the W133s, I’m in the Surfboard Central app, and the place where it is supposed to “Add Satellite” or “Add Device” is missing from the app. After many searches, I’m still empty handed. I can’t find it anywhere in the app, anywhere in the web interface, or anywhere in the community. The app on the box of the W133s directs me to Surfboard Central. Any help is greatly appreciated!
New G34 WIFI 2.4 and 5.0 both appear in mobile devices (laptop, iphones) WIFI settings, but no internet service is actually provided. I have: connected to GUI and GUI show devices are connected. connected via mobile app and ethernet. Modem is activated by Xfinity (Mediacomm) and they see it. Tried rebooting x3 - no change. Tried factory reset - no change. Bad WIFI Router? About to return this overly-expensive model...
Today I called Arris Surfboard Tech Support to inquire about updates for my SBG8300. The agent’s false and totally untrue answer: “Your Internet Provider provides updates for your Surfboard modem”. Thus insinuating that I am an ignorant buffoon, which I plan to deal with later. Question: How do I receive software updates for my modem?
