eMTA - Voice enabled Modem/Gateway
The modem disconnects from the internet every 10 minutes and reconnects within 3 seconds. This continues every 10 minutes 24 hours a day. Happens when hardwired as well as WIFI on 5G and 2.4g.Tried a factory reset. Didn’t work. Used different laptops, windows 10 as well as apple for debugging all the same results.Any suggestion will be appreciated.
I use a SVG2482AC and wifi is slow even nearby. I use TP-Link extenders to help areas of the house where I am most, but wifi speed is still slow. Wired cable modem using Xfinity give me about 750mbs to my MacBook Pro, buy wifi around the house is weak. Will a new maxPRO W31 mesh wifi network work with a SVG2482AC cable modem? Is this the fastest configuration?
For a newly installed SBV3202 with Comcast, everything is working great for both internet and voice but there’s one remaining irritating problem: regardless of Comcast voicemail status I get a stutter tone before every dial tone. Comcast tech came out and we could not clear it, including communicating with the central office who reprovisioned the modem, reset all features on the headend switch, and we of course power cycled the modem. We also tried it with the battery installed and without.More details: Battery LED is always off, I get reasonable text on the modem’s CM State page of “No Status Reported” and with the battery in it shows a Battery Serial Number and Part Number. The SBV3202 manual says on p. 21, “The SBV3202 will transmit a two-second stutter tone when the battery level is low.” But I don’t think it’s low (Batt LED off, modem works fine when I pull the plug). Again, I tested this both with battery IN and OUT.Has anybody else experienced this, or any more ideas? It’s not a
I have been using Parental Controls successfully. A few months ago they just stopped working. I am trying to use Parental Controls to block my child’s access during certain hours. This is no longer working. I have also tried to completely block a device. This has no effect. As an alternative, I tried to download one of your phone apps to manage the device, but I haven’t found one that supports SVG2482AC. Is there an app that works with this device?
I purchased a T25 modem to replace the Xfinity Xfi. I have internet connection from T25 lan port to a pc, but not when T25 is connected to my router. I reconnected the Xfi. Every thing works!!!What am I doing incorrectly for the T25 not to connect thru router? I had a Xfinity tech out today helping. He don’t know either.
I am trying to log on to gateway settings page but I have forgot password. I did a hard reset with paperclip in pinhole reset button on back of gateway(held in for 20 seconds). I went to log in page and used admin as username and password as password but a box popped up and said incorrect password.. What Gives?
I purchased a T25 that stopped working, and wondering if Arris has a way to diagnose it for me and repair it ?Given the cost/initial investment of these devices I'd consider repairing it vs. buying a new one. The warranty has expired by a couple of months, but I believe it can be ♻️ recycled ♻️ and/or repaired. Thank you in advance
I had an older modem tm225r that I replaced with a t25 because of fluctuating speed issues.It could vary from 250 or 300 to under a 100 (wired).Measuring from the Ethernet port on the t26 using a laptop and using Comcast speed site,with the new modem I still get under a 100 even though my service says 500 down.There were issues with cabling and connectors that they just replaced.His handheld meter is saying 600 down,but several different laptops said under 100.Any ideas?
Hello all, and happy to be part of the new community!My most recent Arris product was the T25, and I was extremely happy with it as it was very dependable and trouble-free.Last year, I updated my home network to support multi-gig and was surprised/disappointed to see that I didn’t have an Arris option when it came to an eMTA with a 2.5 Gb (or higher) Ethernet port. Even now, I don’t see that Arris has entry on the market… any plans?
