hard reset for admin password for the SVG2484AC absolutely will NOT work When first setting up the SVG2482AC modem to work with Xfinity/comcast, I loggen in to 10.0.0.1 using “admin” and “password.” When it prompted me to change the password, I did using the same password that I used on my old Arris TG862G modem (which I have physically written down in my password book.) After logging in again using the changed password, I renamed both WiFi networks and set new passwords for each. During the (very long) time it was taking Xfinity to get the internet working, I logged in to the modem using the new password at least two more times, visually confirming that the password was exactly as I had it written in my log book. After Xfinity gave up trying to get the telephone line to work (everything else worked fine), they scheduled to have a technician come out. Why they couldn’t get it to work puzzles me, as it worked just fine (for over 10 years) with the older Arris TG862 modem.
