I was told in my job that the reason why I'm getting issues with staying connected to the company's phone system is the SIP ALG setting. Is this something that my Aris G36 has? If so, how can I disable it?

Yes,  Arris G36 gateway will be having the ALG option. By unchecking the SIP option on the settings it will be disabled. Please login to the modem GUI or modem web interface to change the settings.

Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key.  The https:// Redirect page will appear.
The Username field has admin populated, enter the custom password in the Password field.
Click the Login button.  The Gateway > Summary page will appear.
Select > Advanced > ALG > SIP uncheck
