Arris SBG10 port 9010 not remaining unblocked.  After 30-60 minutes, the port is blocked again but the port forwarding rule is still active in the router settings.

The port is open for a security camera DVR.   

I open the port through Firewall - Virtual / Port Forwarding.  I have the added the static IP address of security camera DVR in the port forwarding area.

The port is re-opened when I click “Detect IP” in the security camera DVR settings.

And then it stays open for 30-60 minutes before being blocked again.

This is a new router and the old Arris router 6580 was working fine with this security camera DVR.

I have tried changing ddns and the same issue still happens

I have updated the firmware on the security camera dvr

I have called Arris tech support and they said I’m doing everything correctly to unblock

As per  the trouble shooting steps for  port forwarding the port 9010 with router settings , it had been  followed  correctly .

Also you had mentioned that 30 to 60 minutes the port is blocked where in the settings of router is active .

In this case, need to check whether is there an issue with the port number of  the   security camera DVR .

I solved it by reserving the MAC address and static IP address of the device under LAN Settings tab of modem/router.
