5G not working


My 5G connection is not working on my S33v2. I’ve tried rebooting the modem. I’ve tried using multiple routers. I’ve called xfinity and they say everything is normal on their end. I pay for 1G internet and currently am getting 10-15MB internet through the 2.4G channel.

did you try factory resetting it? 

What wired speed do you get? 


Yes, factory resetting gets the 5g up and working again for like 1 min. Then it disappears and the only network available to connect to is the 2.4g network. Wired to that network I’m getting 10-20MB/s speeds.

 

I know the issue isn’t the router because I’ve tried 2 relatively new ones. I have an old netgear modem/router combo that works - 5g shows up and can be connected to. But it’s not DOCS 3.1, so the speeds are like 50-100 MB/s.
