What are the steps to update my SBG8300 w/WiFi access and password. I need to improve my security beyond default.  Thanks so much for any help.

I prefer Arris over all other brands and have had great luck with it for years - quality technology and great value.

Also, is there literature on the SBG8300 for resetting WiFi names and password?  I want to make everything difficult for wannabe hacker - maybe hide 5G connections.  Thank you

I see apps in the App Store, but we all know hackers could put apps in there you seem to trust, knowing you will let them know everything critical to access your internet.  Some answers here please, or I will just start poking and prodding. Thanks much!

You can log in with the browser and change it.

Or you can use the surfboard central app

As @plemans  suggested, you can try changing the network name and password through the web-based interface (GUI). Alternatively, if you prefer, you can also do this via the Surfboard Central app. Both options should work for you.

Please refer the link below, where you can find the steps to change the network credentials through the GUI

If you're using the Surfboard Central app to make changes, please refer to the link below. It provides the setup process for both the Surfboard Central app and how to update the network credentials
