I typed up a detailed problem yesterday and posted it here, where did you hide it?

 I was speaking to Spectrum, my ISP,  about how they had the wrong modem listed for me in my account.  In the process of getting it corrected their technical people said my modem was not capable of the 400  Mbps plan I was paying for. The box for the SB6183 modem states it is capable of 686 Mbps down load speed.  The OOKLA speed test while I was communicating with them is showing that I am getting a download speed of 440 Mbs from my home to Portland, ME.  The test from their own website gave me  the same identical download speed from my home to their Spectrum location in Syracuse, NY>I am clearly getting the download speed that I am paying for and more.  Their technical people are saying I should not be getting that type of speed with this modem and that it is only capable of 300 Mbps and they are not budging from that stance. I have been using an ARRIS SB6183 Cable modem for the last three years.  I bought and own the modem which was on their approved

When I go to my SB6190 admin page, it does not have a login screen. It opens directly to status. Also, I seem to be missing some more advanced tabs. This admin page looks basic. 

Hi folks, I just found Arris’ specifications for SB6190 signal levels here. It says the Downstream Bonded Channels power should be between -15dBmV and +15dBmV.  My power levels are at 11.X dBmV to 13.X dBmV.  However, in the provided example, it shows -0.1dBmv to +0.2dBmv.  So my question is this?  Should my downstream power levels be between -0.15dBmV and +0.15dBmV or should it be between -15.0 dBmV and +15.0 dBmV?  If it’s NOT the latter, then I should be calling Cox. 

Hello there, can anyone help me interpret my upstream/downstream logs? My internet keeps dropping out with greater and greater frequency it seems. If it’s important, when the internet briefly goes out, the lights on my modem and router remain on/solid. Recently, there are times when it doesn’t connect back automatically and then I have to establish a connection again via my router. I just purchased my router in March of 2021. I received the modem (SB6190) from a friend in 2019 and have had no issues until recently. It looks like the Upstream Bonded Channels are lower than the accepted levels, but I’m not quite sure what that means. I also refreshed the page after 10+ minutes and provided both reports below. For Upstream Bonded Channels on the first report, it shows no readings for channels 1-3. Hello I have a question, does the SB6183 have WiFi? 

New SB6183 with Xfinity wi-fi. After instal, and several resstarts by me and Comcast, the top and bottom lights are white, not green. The system restarts on its own periodically, sometimes repeatedly. Can you tell me if the lights are a concern?

First off, sorry for the length of this post. I posted the question below on the Charter Spectrum Community a couple of days ago and two different Spectrum employees responded. At the bottom is Charter Spectrum’s response that I contact Arris. Hoping someone can help with the error messages.Question to Charter Spectrum Community. Last Wednesday August 24, I replaced our outdated Arris SB6141 with a Arris SB6183. Our service has went from 100 Mbps to 200 Mbps over the last 4 months. The old SB6141 handled that upgrade fine. But then the announcement from Spectrum stating our service got 50% faster by an immediate 300 Mbps upgrade. The old "unsupported" SB6141 did not handle that, hence the upgrade of our modem to the Spectrum supported SB6183. This modem was also recommended by a Charter Spectrum technician last June. I used the activate[dot]Spectrum[dot]net page and all was successful. We now have 330 Mbps speeds.My question is t

I’ve had a Arris SB6190 paired with a Arris SBR-AC1990P router for about 5 years. Yes, this question is really about the router, but it definitely is triggered by the modem, and I didn’t see another appropriate place to post it.In the last week, I haven’t been able to enter the admin page of the router. I can get to the login page at the default address, but when I hit the “enter” key on the keyboard (after adding username/pass) or click the mouse on the “Login” button, I get the error “Can’t open page because the server dropped the connection”. However, if I remove the the Enet cable on the WAN connection coming from the SB6190, and then access the router, I can login to the router just fine. I can make and save changes. But as one can imagine, it’s a hassle. I’ve tried rebooting (both devices), restoring factory defaults (both devices). The addresses of the two devices are the default addresses, subnet masking is set to the default.Any ideas how to fix?

I need a username and password to activate my modem.. I don't speak English.. please help

My 2 year old Surboard 6190 modem has been dropping connections lately and I’ve not been able to return it to stable performance. It’ll be fine for a while and then drop repeatedly for a hour just because.I’ve done the unplug/plugin and the hard reset without improving the stability, the cable provider confirms no service interruptions and the tv which comes through the same line is unaffected.In the past, this type of behavior was a sign that firmware needed update, but I cant even figure out if this product allows or requires firmware update. Are there any known Arris Surfboard attacks that would allow a Surfboard cable modem to be used as a data relay. The reason I ask is that Xfinity is reporting over double the amount of data that my Eero gateway reports. One month it’s 195% and another month it’s 206% and this month it’s 297%. I can’t think of any source of data that Xfinity would see that wouldn’t also be seen by the Eero gateway.

I need help! I’m moving to a new home and my mom gave me her old modem but I do not see a reset button on this modem, I used to have one ARRIS device that had that button on the back but I do not find any buttons on this modem, please help!!!
