SBG8300 no longer works with xFinity

As with other posts, I am reporting the same now. I’ve had the modem working fine for almost 3 years and suddenly, it stopped working correctly. As I am technical, I looked at everything and noticed it was no longer receiving a WAN IP, therefore, either the DHCP functionality on the modem is failing or DHCP server at XFinitity is having issues. Talking to Xfinity support is a waste of time because they are Tier 1 ppl and only run Layer 1 tests.If I reboot it, it sometimes works, sometimes not. When it does work, I may be good for less than 24 hrs before it starts acting up again.I almost feel like this is some sort of scam to get people to rent their modems.Is there any troubleshooting I could do regarding the DHCP issue? Packet captures?

SB8200v3 only 1 connection even with switch

I got connected with xfinity with my SB8200v3 and I used 1 ethernet port to connect a switch to. I have 3 PCs connected to the switch but only 1 is getting internet. I tried looking into the setting of the modem and the app but neither one will give me any options. I have been trying to look this up and can’t figure out anything other than I might be in bridge mode but can’t figure out how to get out of bridge mode if I am.

2,4ghz network not visible on sbg8300

SBG8300, the 2.4ghz network is not visible to devices. Admin page says it's online. Have rebooted several times without luck. Have not factory reset yet. Any recommendations, ideas?

No internet on SBG6700-AC

Hello. I have two printers that keep going offline. I can un & replug them and they are fine except for one that I have to do it a couple of times. The printer manufacturer said I need to “split the frequencies” (see below for the rest) but told me that Arris is not capable of that. Is that true? I am not working so I can’t buy a newer modem nor rent it from my Internet provider. My Internet provider said since I have my own equipment that I can’t do it. Any help is appreciated! make sure 2 frequencies of my network are divided one name for 2.4 network (2G) one name for the 5g

Zoom or Teams Meetings on hardwired connection - G36.

We have a ARRIS G36 modem, with a 1 TB home coaxial connected Xfinity link going to it. During every conference call, I either lose the connection, freeze up, or have generally bad connection. The modem is 1 year old, I am directly connected to it via Cat5E cable, there are 3 other devices connected wirelessly, what could be the issue???

G34 connection drops wifi & ethernet

I believe there is more than one issue going on. But this is what I know. I lose connectivity both wired and ethernet. sometimes for a second, sometimes for minutes. The lights on router onlly sometimes change from blue to orange during this. I had seen aquite a few Event logs not sure what to make of them. Every check of Qam shows in parameters. I dont know if these logs can give some guidance. I am a remote WFH rep and need stable internet I bought this modem router for the 4 ethernet ports and wifi 6. We are a 3 person sometimes 4 person family. Son’s a gamer, We have Amazon devices and Cameras and Streaming SErvice not to mention phones, tablets, ets… Average about 30 devices at any given time. Please help. SGB10 Will not reset to default User/Password

I have pressed and held the button in the little hole and waited until lights go out. Then waited until it came back up. I have internet access, but the login on the SBG10 is not being reset after multiple attempts. I read about a suggestion to reset the gateway, but do not see directions on how to do this.

SG8300 not accepting captcha codes on the settings page.

I'm trying to raise the firewall security level and the captcha codes I enter are not being accepted so that the router will let me save the new settings. It just keeps feeding me new ones. Some are hard some are easy. I’ve tried upper case, lower case, spaces between characters. Nope. I’m probably up to 30+ attempts now.

arris surfboard sbg10 - Unable to setup the SBC app.

I can’t get it up and running, because when I scan the QR code, it asks to download the Arres app. Once I do that, it asks me to scan the QR code on the device, but it keeps saying it’s invalid. Now I’m trying to set it up manually, but the app is telling me they don’t support this device.This should be much easier, right?
