Firmware Updates- SBG-901 Surfboard Gateway Modem

I’d like to know if there is a way to check for firmware updates on this modem. I have not seen any way to do this via my CMG (configuration manager). The problem is the modem is regularly rebooting itself automatically. I do unplug the modem every night after I am through using it.

Arris surfboard docsis 3.1 Ethernet Cord

Hi, just bought the Arris surfboard docsis 3.1 I’ve been having trouble with the wifi on my PC. When I plug in the ethernet cord it’s green on the router but orange on my PC any ideas why? Anyone know where I can find a longer Ethernet cord from Arris that’s a 30v.

IPv6 Host Exposure not working

Hi, a have got a cable router. this router was produced for vodafone germany. they call it vofafone station. but in the inside is arris technolgy.There is a feature called "IPv6 host exposure" which I want to use to make my NAS reachable from outside of my home network.But it's not working. it has no effect. others experience the same problem. https://youtu.be/pPadIiUpzlkCan someone help me? maybe I could connect via ssh or telnet to so I can manually configure the firewall?thanks for your support. Unable to Access Arris Surfboard SBG6700-AC Settings to Reset Wi-Fi Configuration

I am using an Arris (Motorolla) Surfboard SBG6700-AC Cable Modem with Xfinity (Comcast) Wired Ethernet Connection on an HP 8300 All-In-One PC . I am using Ubuntu Linux Version 20.04 LTS. My problem is I that I am unable to log into the Modem (192.168.0.1) with the Default user name and password combination(s), (User Name: “admin” Password: “password”) or the Alternate Combination of (User Name: “admin” Password: Wi-Fi Security Key on Label on Bottom of Cable Modem).I am attempting to Reset the Wi-Fi Credentials on this Cable Modem so as to enable Wi-Fi Access to my other computer(s) and to my Android Cell Phone.In addition, my attempt to Complete a Factory Reset on this Arris Cable Modem was unsuccessful. Why Only One Login on App?

It is amazing to me that the Surfboard app can only be used by one person, on one phone. We can’t be the only household in which there are 2 adults who may need to manage our internet connection now and then! We put the app on my husband’s phone, thinking I would add it on mine later, since he travels a lot for work, and then I couldn’t make use of it so it is basically useless!

Arris TG3452A Packet Loss Issues

As of recent me and my family have been finding our Arris TG3542A has been producing tremendous amounts of packet loss and I am unsure as of what to do with it. I have been unable to find anything helpful on the internet in my countless hours of research and we are supposed to be getting 1000+ mbps but we only get 20-40 mbps. Please help.

Arris tm722g speed needed

Hi,I can’t find the specs for my Arris tm722g modem. I have a 10/100/1000 ethernet port on my computer, a 15 Mbps internet connection (through the phone/cable company), so I wonder if the TM722G is fast enough to take advantage of the 10/100/1000 ethernet port.My question comes from the fact that I notice some lags when streaming 4k videos. Which password?

When the tech helped me set up my Arris 824A modem and WiFi yesterday, we changed the default, preshared Key (password).I am positive it was changed. I wrote it down. I tried to log in today because the network and guest network appeared in my network list but, the latter, will not connect. Neither the preshared default , nor me new password will work. Suggestions?

Some client devices will display an IP Address instead of the device name and the device icon does not reflect the device type in the device list. A few factors can happen as the client device is not detected by Internet of Things (IoT), MAC Address is randomized, and iOS devices do not share MAC Address information. Beware of Emails from Comcast

I recently received an e-mail from Comcast telling me that my Arris modem was no longer compatible with their speed increase (?), and that I needed to upgrade. I bought my modem directly from Arris. I was about to shop for another modem through Comcast (that they conveniently provided a link for), when I noticed that the modem that Comcast claimed I had was different from the one I actually have. I called Comcast and they finally admitted that they sent me the wrong info. They concluded by saying my modem was “somehow still compatible” I called Arris to verify and they gave me the correct info.If anyone who has Comcast gets this e-mail, make sure they are referring to your modem, and check with Arris directly before buying another modem!

Which model

I just came back to Xfinity. Which model recommended for wifi modem w/router. Also I use VOIP for my landline. I had an old Surfboard with two ports I plugged in my two vonage lines, one for voice the other fax. Will any of the surfboard models with model-router combo accept these inputs or does it have to be a voice model?Thank you.

Cannot start Arris VIP4302 when changing service plan with the provider

I hope someone can help me. I cannot have my VIP4302 start after I changed my fiber plan with the local service provider (STC Bahrain). My TV account with them is the same and I can receive it on any e-device but not by VIP4302. the device starts and asks for account number and password but then it gives me a screen “initializing”. the screen goes on like this for days. I contacted the service provider and they told me that they are no longer provide any technical support for this device. For me it is now a junk useless piece but I like its quality. Any idea about how to make it receives from open sources?Thank you in advance
