Internet dropping once / day SB6141
I’ve had my self-installed SB6141 for several years. Up till now has never been a problem. However I am now seeing my Internet access interrupted roughly once per day. Installed a new router thinking the problem was Wifi related but now I am not sure. Router manufacturer is pointing finger at cable modem. Have already had ISP at house, they replaced cable from their box to the cable modem. When incident happens my router indicates trouble reaching the Internet - some devices have an internet connection, some do not. I power cycle the router and Internet comes back up for all devices. All lights on cable modem are normal. Any suggestions? Thanks - Richard in Allentown, PA - RCN customer, “up to 50 Mbps” services with actual speed test 146.8 Mbps download / 18.2 Mbps upload
CM8200 slow speeds, firmware upgrade
I am helping my mother-in-law troubleshoot her Touchstone CM8200A modem that is not reaching the correct speeds from the ISP. The technician was able to achieve 1G on the line, but only 92 Mbps at the modem. The cable company is stating that she should purchase a new modem, but in the past I have found improvement with updated firmware, but apparently this is no longer allowed with DOCSIS. Are there any suggestions before this modem gets trashed.
White peanut style Surfboard has no lights of any kind. I recently swapped the UPS uninterrupted power supply it is plugged in to but all other devices on the UPS are working and I have tried multiple inputs on the UPS. Anything short of replacing it I might try? If not, what would be the nearest new model replacement? And it’s connected to a 10 GB switch - does that go before or after the Surfboard in line (just checking - I have it after)?
Programmatically reboot Motorola Surfboard SB6120
I used to be able to programmatically reboot my Motorola Surfboard SB6120 cable modem simply by opening http://192.168.100.1/reset.htm. The page is now missing and I am no longer able to find any reboot/reset page available via web browser. Some instructions indicate that a reset button is available on the Configuration page, but the button is not there.Does anyone know how to programmatically reboot the Motorola Surfboard SB6120?
Arris AM525 Cannot Log Into Network
We have Frontier FiOS with an Arris NVG468MQ router. We recently dropped FiOS TV (and Frontier is dropping it everywhere), kept Frontier FiOS internet but added basic Spectrum (copper). We have an Arris AM525 to extend Wifi to the opposite end of the house but when the Spectrum folks hooked up the TV they just disconnected it. We have crappy Wifi at that end of the house again so I plugged the co-ax back in and it seemed to fire up good. When I did a Wifi analyzer the signal strength was off the charts. But now we cannot log into the Wifi from there. We can see the Wifi network, the signal strength is super strong, but it absolutely will not accept the WAP key. WAP key works with other extenders but absolutely not with that. Tried with several devices and with my cell phone, will not connect. Not sure why we can see the Wifi network but cannot log into it now. There is a WAP key on the AM525 but it will not accept that either. Not a networking expert but not sure if there is
Arris DG9450 port fowarding
I have a arris DG9450 that was issued by my service provider. The issue is to play some of my games I need to open ports to allow me to do so but I haven't found a tutorial online that is set up like my modem also when I called customer support they couldn't help. The solution for them was to go look at Google and YouTube and pay $5 for a nat access. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this router so I can get everything running.
How to disable SIP ALG via SB6121 for use with Voiply internet phone service
Trying to set up Voiply’s adapter for using my landline phone to make calls via the internet (VOIP)I have an older (~8 years?) Arris SB6121 Modem.Advice says to try one of a number of internet addresses, log in and after going to Advanced Settings or Application Layer Gateway Settings, uncheck the SIP box. The problem is I am not prompted to log in when I use the only address that worked (http://192.168.100.1). I am taken to a page that displays the status of various modem items similar to this: Do I have the ability to ability to disable the SIP ALG functionality using the SB6121? If so, how?HELP!!

Potential Help on a SBG6782-ACH
I’ll try to hit the main points quickly:SBG6782 seemed to be working well about 2 months agoHad a major power outage and internet provider was down for a day or two (Suddenlink/Optimum)When power and internet came back on, my modem wasn’t working at all or barely at all and cable provider said that I needed a firmware update on my modem (which they supposedly did from their office). After that the modem was dropping the signal about 1-3x times an hour (and sometimes more than that)Service call and it seemed like there were some issues that they resolved (like my modem not being in their system anymore etc) and some line to home cleaning up, but after a few weeks, modem still dropping a lot (2-3 times an hour). Another guy comes out and shows me that I have a really good signal to my modem but I couldn’t get internet… I disconnected routers etc. and got the internet working and thought that was it… BUT modem goes back to dropping signal 1-3x / hourFinally convince them to let me borro
