Internet dropping multiple times/day with my SB6141
For the past few days, I am observing this issue wherein the internet connection is dropped for few seconds every 30 minutes or so.When I logged into xfinity, it says SB6141 is end-of-life and is not supported for my (800 Mbps) plan.Do I need to upgrade my modem to a docsis 3.1 ? Here is what I see from the logs
cant connect refurbished modem
I had a TM1602A that crapped out on me so I replaced it with the same one...now, I can't connect with my optimum router. Do I need to buy a new optimum modem?? Since this newly replaced modem is refurbished...I dont know the password or how to get it....any help would be great!! Tks!
I’ve been searching for a fix for this for hours and nothing works and nothing I’m finding is helping. Every time I try and access the admin site I get this error no matter the browser I use. Services added do not save to router properties
Directions to what I need help with:File Explorer>Network>Network Infrastructure> right click Arris TG1682G (your router goes here) >Properties>Click Settings under “General” tab>Click “Add...” to add any service>OK. This may work for you, but when I click “OK”, I assume this would save the new service I have added, yet it never does. This is strange, as this worked for me back in 2019-2021, but doesn’t now. Please help. ISP: Comcast (this should not be relevant).
MAC Filter Settings
I am having trouble with MAC filter settings. Does anyone have the specifics on how to utilize it. I have a chronic (and capable hacker) in my neighborhood that I need to block. I prefer to use a “White list” for my devices instead of a “Black list” because they can spoof MAC addresses and it would never end.

S33 cannot access webmanager after switching to this modem from a netgear cm1000
so i just bought this modem today and activated it with spectrum. previously i had a CM1000 modem from netgear. since i’ve switched to this modem, i cannot access 192.168.100.1 unless i connect directly to the modem with my laptop and a lan cable. before, when i had the other modem, i could access the same address with no problems. what could be causing this? when i type in the 192.168.100.1 address, the page just says timed out
DG860a Wirh Blinking Ethernet Ports
I am using a Arris DG 860 a modem with spectrum Internet. Yesterday I had no Internet access, and when I went and checked the modem, I noticed that all four ethernet ports on the back were blinking yellow. I tried a variety of different things. I’ve powered it down and power it back on again same thing happens. I’ve powered down and power back on again without anything connected to it, such as the co-axle or any ethernet cables. Same thing happens after it restarts about three or four maybe five minutes it starts blinking again. it starts blinking again. I’ve tried wiring it directly to my computer without anything else and try to use the administration futures to see if I can get into the box or the modem and I can’t. It seems like. has anybody ever had a problem with these four blinking ethernet ports and is there anything I can do to stop it from happening? I have done the reset multiple times and nothing seems to work. I’m stuck there and I believe that that’s the cause of me not b
SB6141 can't get update - keeps rebooting
My SB6141 keeps rebooting a few times a day. I’ve called my ISP to make sure it’s not something on their end and they said it looks like the modem is trying to get an update, fails to get it and then reboots.Once it reboots everything works great. Arris rac2v1a network specification
Hi All,I have a ARRIS rac2v1a, and there is a strange phenomenon which I suspect that it is an implementation error.When an iPhone has connect to ARRIS rac2v1a, checking the wireless sniffer air packet, I realized that in the Beacon Frame, there will be times where Robust Security Network Information Element (RSN-IE) is missing. The Router is operating in WPA2 protocol.Is there any software staff here that could help to clarify this?Thank you.
DG3450 User Manual?
I am looking for a full user manual for the DG3450 Digital Gateway Modem -- which my cable provider/ISP (Sparklight) just installed in my house. I have searched every nook and cranny of the ARRIS web site and there is no reference to the model number. On the web there is exists draft copies of a User Guide but it does not cover topics like Port Forwarding or DynamicDNS setup. Someone at ARRIS must know about this product.
G36 2.5gb port will not connect through a switch
I am trying to expand the single 2.5gb port on my G36 modem and not having any luck getting it connected to any devices when going through a multi-gigabyte switch. I first tried the TP-Link switch (TL-SG105-M2) which has five 2.5gb ports, and that did not work so i shipped it back and ordered the QNAP switch (QSW-2104-2S) and that did not connect either. It’s very basic troubleshooting, when any device is connected to the G36 2.5gb port directly there are no issues. But if i connect the G36 2.5gb port to switch and then try to connect devices to that, they do not connect. Also, the 1gb ports on the G36 do not have an issue connecting to any devices eitherdirectly or through the switch. The connectivity issue only occurs with the G36 2.5gb port going through a multi-gb switch, such as the two i mentioned above.Anyone else able to connect the G36 2.5gb port to a switch with 2.5gb ports, successfully?QNAP has been great trying to help me troubleshoot but attempts to get Arris support
With xfinity starting the rollout of docsis 4.0 (or starting shortly), does Arris have anything docsis 4.0 in the works or in testing? I’ve been involved in beta testing before and seems likes its pretty beneficial with these new iterations of technology to test their backwards compatibility on the 3.1 technology in the wild. Arris router login
Hello, I have an Arris router given to me by my ISP. I have factory reset the router and tried to log into the router through the default gateway, but no combination of passwords I have found online will allow me to login. I have tried every combination of “admin”, “password” and just blanks possible. Please help! I am trying to port forward
192.168.0.1 login problem: Chrome/Edge Can’t provide secure connection; unsupported protocol etc.
After going in circles looking for a solution to the “security” concerns of Chrome and Edge that result in not allowing a 192.168.0.1 login, I finally tried old Internet Explorer ("C:\Program Files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe") and Voila! Apparently, Chrome/Edge substitute https in place of http - it’s a “feature.”(Microsoft may discontinue Internet Explorer in future but some other browsers also may work)
SBG8300 - drops internet connection and I have to reboot once a week
I have an SBG8300 modem/router connected to Cox cable. Last year it was working completely fine. Then I moved it to a new house - same Cox cable - but had to buy an aftermarket power cord from Amazon.Now the internet drops once a week and I have to reboot the modem (unplug and plug it back in) in order to get connectivity back up and running.Any ideas? Is the unit overheating? Is the aftermarket power cord causing issues? The modem/router is roughly 1.5 years old and for several months, wasn’t even being used.Thanks!
How to get shell access into a 3800HGV-B Router
Folks, I was wondering, is there any way to get shell access into a 3801HGV-B router? We have a 3801HGV-B in our household and it has started to malfunction a little, with devices disconnecting from the network at random times. I was thinking perhaps I could access a shell inside of it so that I can troubleshoot it myself. Does anyone know how to accomplish this? wifi Lights not on Modem
The only light on my modem/router which turns on is the power light, The wifi lights do not come on and when Iook at the username “network” it said that it is out of area even though it is in the same room and has always worked previously. Modem/router is Arris Model TG 1682G. Operating system is Windows 11. How can I get internet back and the lights on the modem/router turned on?
