Can I use my android phone for the Arris VMS 1100 cable box?

We have a Verizon Arris VMS1100 cable tv box for my fios service.Is there an app or a way that I can remotely control using my Samsung Android phone when I’m not in the house?  My elderly mom sometimes has problems changing the channel or raising the volume using her factory remote control.   If I can do this using my phone for her, then this would save me a lot of time and aggravation with this! Thanks.

G54 not showing connected devices

I have purchased the G54 and either on the app or the web interface is not showing the correct/all amount of devices.On the app, it is showing 5 connections simply called “Device”, all of them with a phone icon. Cross referencing the IP addresses from the web interface, only 4 of those IP addresses show up on both lists. The 5th IP address showing on the app is my personal computer.(The one I am using to look at the web interface) On the web interface, it is showing 4 devices connected, again with the 5th connection my app is reporting being the computer I am currently on. Not sure how the device I am accessing the web interface on doesn’t show up as connected. It is also consistently dropping my phones connection which does reflect on the web interface but not the app.THE ISSUE despite seeing either 4 or 5 connections here and there, is that I actually have 16 devices currently connected and working on my network. There are cameras that are not showing up that I need the ip address to

Motorola Branded SBG6580 wireless settings locked out

One day, my router stopped showing up on the networks list, but the phone line it's tied to on the ethernet still works. I quickly verified the antenna wasn't working, so we used these  range extenders for a bit. They randomly dropped the connection all the time, so today I tried turning it on in settings, but when I go to any menu in the wireless section, my browser gives an ERR_CONNECTION_RESET. Is this some over-the-air mass brickery? Unlikely. Does anyone have any solutions?

SBG7400AC2 - Slow speed on Amazon tv

I am using iptv and tivimate to stream TV. they stoped working and will not let me reload them. I get good internet speed but can not login to these providers. Contacted them and everything is working fine on there end. Before that my speed was slower then amazon tv speed. Reset the modem and fire stick and still nothing.

So, i activated bridge mode NAT by error and now i got no internet connection, the model is: TG2482A and i don’t really know what to do… if someone can help, i would apreciate it

s33 v2 no internet

S33v2 light solid amber, blink of bluegreen then back to solid amber.  No connection to any device but internet shows connected.  Power cycled  the provider and Arris devices, did the paperclip reset on the Arris device and checked the Ethernet and coax connections and found no problems with those.  No change, any ideas??

Inconsistent website access with G20

Hi all,I purchased a Surfboard G20 to utilize DOCSIS 3.1 from Xfinity, but it’s been nothing but headache so far. After connecting it and activating via the Xfinity App, I’m only able to access specific URLs. Notably, any Google domain (like Youtube or Gmail) as well as wikipedia. No other websites will load at all. I called Arris support and they said it was corrupted firmware and had me exchange the modem/router at the place I purchased it. I did so, and the replacement has the same exact behavior. I spent 4 hours on Xfinitys tech support chat, and they have no idea what the cause could be. I suspect it’s some kind of DNS problem, but I’m not savvy enough to be able to isolate it further. A windows 10, Linux, Android, and ChromeOS device all share this behavior so I’m absolutely sure it’s not specific to any device. cannot connect SBC app to SBG10

I have tried seemingly all options to connect my old SBG10 to the Surfboard app. Previously only managed with PC login. I keep getting error 0000-1900. I've done a complete factory reset of the device (twice) and it did the usual firmware update on the device. I tried setting up the device via the app, scanning the QR code to input the password. No success. So I set it up manually on the PC and set the password to at least 8 digit, with caps, lowers, numbers, and symbols to meet the apps criteria. Still no luck.  I am certain I am selecting the right device (SBG10), I am certain I have selected the right option (device already set up), I am certain I've typed in the right log in password (probably 15 times at this point). I've granted full permissions as the requests came in. The Android device is literally 5 feet from the router. And again I've done two factory resets on this router device.The Android device the App is on is connected ONLY to this router (via the default network name

So, yesterday I purchased a new SB8200 and had Cox activate it. However, while it works all the lights are Green, shouldn’t two of them in the middle be Blue? I’m 80 and not that tech savvy.

Some of my devices won’t connect to the WiFi. It allows me to select the SSID and password but won’t connect. My old router had specific channels for 2.4 and 5G so it didn’t have a problem. Any suggestions?

My Surfboardd S33 does not connect in the morning for few devices (laptop or desktop). For rest it works. When I connect the not-working devices via my cell phonehotspot these work immeidately. Can you help ? Thanks in advance

How do i limit my wifi speed on W21?

Hello i have the W21 mesh router and i want to make my wifi speeds slower because im almost at my data limit for my ISP. If i use more than my threshold, they will charge me fees. How do i limit my wifi speeds? I have tried it on the surfboard central app and there are no such settings, and the surfboard max app doesnt work either. I assume the w21 isnt supported by that app. The surfboard central app has barely any functionality. I have had super cheap routers with much more capability in the settings.

Can't connect HP LaserJet Pro M402dw printer to G36

UPDATE: Pls disregard. I was able to ferret out how to get my printer to connect to the router using steps via the ‘192.168.0.1’ login on my browser.  Success!==============What am I not doing?My printer is still reading the old service provider’s modem and I can’t seem to access what I need to in order to connect/change the settings to the new SURFboard G36.When searching for answers on the Arris website, I also tried registering my G36 during steps and Arris cannot match the serial number.  Of course it’s the weekend and the Comm website is difficult for me to navigate to find the appropriate tech-support chat to fix this.So what do I need to do now to get my printer working and the G36 and printer to recognize each other?  I can go without my printer over the weekend, but come Monday, it’ll be hairy.I don’t own a smartphone or other device, but have to connect printer to router on a desktop (Mac mini).  My HP M402dw does not have a touchscreen.May I have some help, please?  TIA

G36 Slow Internet Speed on Spectrum 600mbps service

I’m looking for a solution to this problem:With a 1gb ethernet harwired connection to the G36 router/modem the maximum speed observed on a 600mbps Spectrum account is 150mbps download/20mbps upload.The G36 has been provisioned by Spectrum 4 times.  Spectrum techs have been onsite and verified the integrity of the coax services up to the modem.

ARRIS VIP7802 Modem

I am texting from Ontario Canada. My mom recently moved into retirement home and part of the plan included fiber optic TV and Internet. The modem is an ARRIS model VIP 7802. She has macular degeneration and glaucoma and can’t see the small button remote that came with the TV provider. I’m trying to hook up a Aftermarket TV remote called “one click” manufactured by “Simpl” for my mother. The codes that were provided in the box for the Arris products did not open it. When I contacted the company for the remote said will work on modems manufactured until 2022. Those are current codes for them. I noticed on the back of the modem it’s manufactured in 2023 and I’m wondering if there’s any new codes for this new modem to be able to hook up this aftermarket remote to operate the TV. I understand that this remote is Wi-Fi and I’ve read that it will do IR remotes, is that the correct statement? If not, do you know where I can get a remote for seniors that’ll work with this modem that you’ve manu

I can no longer restart SB6141 modem from configuration page!

On the configuration page there used to be a button “Restart Cable Modem”. This button has disappeared. Who changed the firmware and how can I get the button back?(My ISP denies that they have changed the firmware on the modem that I own)EDIT: When I remove the coax cable and restart the modem, the reset and restart buttons are there! However, as soon as I put back the cable the buttons disappears 🙄.How can I keep the buttons with the coax cable connected?Several years ago, the buttons were there even with the cable connected..
