I have been experiencing with my G36 new modem replacement modem as well as the old G36 connectivity performance speed issues, issues of every kind rebooting issues you name it everything over the last 6-7 months for which I contacted Arris about this issue there head tech Joshua at phone number  [edit: removed personal information] he told back then he knew NOTHING about these issue with arris G36 modems and the new 10G xfinitys system upgrade which for us has been a very serious down grade with the Arris G36 modem. We are hardwired ethernet connected  and had for over a year with this G36 and on the ISP service at the 1200 Mbps down and 40 Up of xfinitys good performace over all of 1400+ solid flat line at 1400+ continously with same with the 42 up. We need even much faster speeds but this is the fastest available here from anyone. However in July of 2023 is when xfinity up graded there system making there system only compatiable with there modems causing all 3rd

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but here goes.When I log into surfboard central and under “My Devices”, they are all listed, but I cannot tell what all of them are.  I can see my computer and my cell phones, but all the others I cannot identify.  How do I tell what the devices are so that I can name them so that I will recognize which device I am working with?

Hello, we purchased at Best Buy (not through our ISP) the ARRIS SURFboard DOCSIS 31 Cable Modem DualBand WiFi Router for Xfinity and Cox. I want to block certain devices during sleeping hours. Under Parental Control > Managed Devices > Edit Blocked Device, I tried to set blocked time starting at 10 pm (22:00) and ending at 8 am (08:00). It didn’t work - I got an error message that the start time must be after the end time.This makes our router useless for parental controls. Are there any work around or will ARRIS consider updating its user interface so the set blocked time works?

I had to recreate an account because the app wasn’t recognizing my email. But now that I did, when logging into the app (or trying to) I get a message pop up saying the account has been updated and to go to the website to a drop down menu. But there is nothing in the drop down menu to help me. Why can’t I get into the app. min also trying to connect to a Wi-Fi extender and I’m wondering if I need the app to do so since the modem doesn’t have a WPS

Not sure if this is the place, or if there’s any place, to ask about a Arris manufactured set-top box for Motorola that’s now discontinued by Arris, but being distributed as the latest by Spectrum, at least in Montana. My question is, Can the color of the Front Panel display text (channel number) be changed from its relatively bright white to something else? Thanks,

Just got a new Macbook Air and can’t connect to wifi. Apple support said that wifi password needs to be changed. My Apple devices now say, the previous used password.is wrong.

As a Bell Fibe user I have the vip7802 box.This box applies Dolby Vision to all channels and programs no matter what with no way to turn it off.I know enough to know that DV must be encoded into the program or blu ray for it to work effectively.By always having it on it actually detracts visually from many shows and by denying me the ability to turn it on or off I am unable to access my TVs many picture presets or to adjust the picture settings to my own personal tastes. It’s my tv after all, I should have control of it.I have read of others with this complaint and I see no reason why a software update could not solve this issue.I have reached out to Bell and to Dolby Labs. Although I applaud the person that originated the idea of outsourcing the support dept to unpaid customers, that was truly innovative.  Now, of course everyone does it.  In the old days no one would have the audacity to expect paying customers to have to provide their own support. Especially with known problems like the chances of someone knowing more than you could be as low as 1:1000 (admittedly in my case it’s more like 1:8)  But that’s assuming anyone actually answers your question.I’ve had 2 questions up for almost a month.  I got one reply each, right away.  The first person either didn’t really read my question, or maybe I phrased it incorrectly.  But I tried to answer their followup questions and restate my original question better, but never got the followup reply.The second person asked a simple followup question which I answered but also never got 2nd reply.I don’t blame the customers.  It’s not their job to answer my questions.Bu

[Surfboard S33 Modem]  First Take - Lessons Learned:WEbUI access to the S33:When installed and connected the WebUI remains inaccessible (denied by firewall filters), ALWAYS:  Access to 192.168.100.1 (the modem) is denied by firewall rules to which I have no visibility in my configuration.  The 192.168.100.0/24 network lies upstream of the WAN interface, and private network addresses (e.g. 192.168.100.0/24) off the WAN interface are blocked.  [Although theoretically one could allow these narrow flows thru the WAN port, it provides a theoretical vector to attacks.] When installed and connected use the second GIGe interface, instead:  Access to192.168.100.1 is allowed, as this access is treated as an out-of-band “console”.  You can connect to the console webUI directly with an Ethernet-capable laptop/pad, or an Ethernet switch and get status information without interference.

Looking to upgrade my SB6141 just because. It’s perfect in every way.  Small. Square.  Black.  Blinky lights. What is the deal with this disgusting-looking design on this S33?   The look of it is disturbing.  I want it to pass 1’s and 0’s not look like...well I’m not sure what you were going for but, it sucks.

The app doesn’t seem to work…the only way you can manage the modem (that is actually connected) is through the ip address 192.168.1.0 and login that way.  Hopefully they can fix this app~super frustrating!!!
