Is my Century link DSL Service compatible with an ARRIS Surfboard G34 DOCSIS 3.1 Gigabit Cable Modem & Wi-Fi 6 Router (AX3000)

Hello, I just bought the surfboard Wi-Fi extension and am trying to connect the router to my current Wi-Fi. Is there anything I’m supposed to do after plugging it in? I cannot find directions.

do i need a separate router to connect to wifi? TY

Although I applaud the person that originated the idea of outsourcing the support dept to unpaid customers, that was truly innovative. Now, of course everyone does it. In the old days no one would have the audacity to expect paying customers to have to provide their own support. Especially with known problems like the chances of someone knowing more than you could be as low as 1:1000 (admittedly in my case it’s more like 1:8) But that’s assuming anyone actually answers your question. I’ve had 2 questions up for almost a month. I got one reply each, right away. The first person either didn’t really read my question, or maybe I phrased it incorrectly. But I tried to answer their followup questions and restate my original question better, but never got the followup reply. The second person asked a simple followup question which I answered but also never got 2nd reply. I don’t blame the customers. It’s not their job to answer my questions. But it should be somebody’s job.

[Surfboard S33 Modem] First Take - Lessons Learned: WEbUI access to the S33: When installed and connected the WebUI remains inaccessible (denied by firewall filters), ALWAYS: Access to 192.168.100.1 (the modem) is denied by firewall rules to which I have no visibility in my configuration. The 192.168.100.0/24 network lies upstream of the WAN interface, and private network addresses (e.g. 192.168.100.0/24) off the WAN interface are blocked. [Although theoretically one could allow these narrow flows thru the WAN port, it provides a theoretical vector to attacks.] When installed and connected use the second GIGe interface, instead: Access to192.168.100.1 is allowed, as this access is treated as an out-of-band “console”. You can connect to the console webUI directly with an Ethernet-capable laptop/pad, or an Ethernet switch and get status information without interference. Looking to upgrade my SB6141 just because. It’s perfect in every way. Small. Square. Black. Blinky lights. What is the deal with this disgusting-looking design on this S33? The look of it is disturbing. I want it to pass 1’s and 0’s not look like...well I’m not sure what you were going for but, it sucks.

The app doesn’t seem to work…the only way you can manage the modem (that is actually connected) is through the ip address 192.168.1.0 and login that way. Hopefully they can fix this app~super frustrating!!!

What is the best and easiest way to extend my wifi wirelessly out to other buildings on my property?
