My modem was purchased two weeks ago, and it worked fine for few days then disconnected from WiFi signal, after restarting WiFi comes back. Checked with WiFi provider and no outage in the area, no service interruptions either. This is our second Arris modem that our first one didn’t have this issue. Requesting technical support or change the product. Thanks!

I used my S33 v2 at a previous address and registered it with Arris at that time. It was on a Spectrum network.I’ve moved now and using the same S33, however, now on Xfinity. When I log into SURFboard Central it is still showing my Spectrum as my provider and I can get no data from the unit. How do I get this all reset? I’ve recently reset the modem which had no effect, I am assuming this issue is something with the SURFboard central app.

I finally was able to change password, after 30 minutes of trying, but need to change some settings of my G20. How can I do this?

Recently got a refurbished SB8200. Works great, stunning increase in speed over ethernet (50 to 170 Mbits per Speedtest.net) Less love for the brightness of the indicator LEDs. Apparently version 2 of this modem has the ability to change how the LEDs are displayed. Sadly no LED dimmer function but having them turned of either all the time or when working normally would be appreciated. I assume I have v1 which does not have that functionality. How can I get a v2 modem? Is there away to determine by serial numbers? Maybe there is a firmware upgrade? If anyone has an answer I would appreciate it. Thanks - Jef

My SB8200 loses connection to Xfinity more and more often. It happened a couple of times during the first months, but now nearly every day. All lights are on. The modem web UI works. Performing a reboot via the UI does not help. I have to power it off/on. The signals look OK as per the Cable Signal Levels article. Thanks!

I purchased an SB 8200 off Amazon. It’s connected and was activated by optimum. It works other than I can’t get to the modem web page and when try and register it says serial number not found. I tried calling the number located in manual but it just hangs up on me. The serial number is the same on box as is on bottom of modem. What give ?

There is a similar issue on this page. As of a couple of months ago, I could no longer access Disney+ on my TV, computer, phone. When I try the TV App I get an error. When I try to use a browser, I get an error all of which point to me being outside of the Disney Region (Outside of the US). After a month we were able to diagnose that if we use our phones as a hot spot and were able to access the streaming services once again. Disney suggested a VPN may be the problem. Which I do not have a VPN. So then pointed to the ISP as having an issue. So we contacted our ISP which could not diagnose the issue and is pointing at my equipment. Their reasoning was that other apps work, but Disney+ does not, Netflix freaks out sometimes. My Internet equipment, Surfboard SB8200 connected to Netgear MK63 Mesh. I got an S34 a few months ago to replace an older DOCSIS 3.0 Arris modem on Xfinity to get higher speeds, and this model is recommended for my address by Xfinity. It worked fine for a few months, but then in the past couple weeks started dropping connection multiple times a day, sometimes recovering on its own, sometimes requiring a hard reboot. My SB6190 just suddenly and abruptly turned off. Even though it is plugged into a working wall outlet, it cannot turn on. There a warranty?

I just bought a SB8200 and I have it connected to COX and I see all solid green lights, but how come the downstream and upstream do not turn blue which means I have a DOCSIS 3.1 connection. I have called COX and told me that the signal being sent to me is Docsis 3.1 and that the problem is the modem. I tried to log in to the modem but no luck either, won’t let me login at all. Any help on this is appreciated. Thanks.

The browser-gui for my S33v2 modem recommends using the SURFboard Central app. When I download the app on my android and create and account, login, the application doesn’t tell me anything other than the model number, serial number, mac address, service provider, hardware spec, and ethernet ports. All of which I already know and have on the outside of the machine. Even worse, it doesn’t give me any information that the browser gives me like status, configuration, even logs, etc. This is the only information I get; So far the app is worthless. Am I doing something wrong; is there a link I don't know about? What should I be expecting?

Router A (Arris TG3452A) ISP internet 192.168.0.1 No endpoints (other than Router B) connected Router B (tp-link Archer AX11000) Internal router 192.168.1.1 All internal endpoints connected Router B gets IP address from Router A Router B uses Router A as gateway Other than Router A providing a static IP to Router B and Router B using Router A as the gateway, I can't see any way to add any further configuration to Router A that would allow for a NAT forwarder to work for Router B. Would like to be able to add a port forward on Router A for an endpoint on Router B ,but Router A states IP address is invalid (because it's not in the same subnet). Can this be accomplished? Hi. I’m being pulled around by Xfinity support telling me I cannot receive higher upload speeds since my S34 is actually S34v1 that has not been certified by Xfinity. I can find nothing relating to S34v1 versus S34. Xfinity will not provide me any documentation of their claim. Is Xfinity telling me the truth?

my modem stopped working and i need a warranty claim. Its less that a year old

Using Cox cable, SB8200 modem works at 600mbps+ then slows to 20mbps. Rebooting the modem and checking the speed results in 600+mbps for less than a minute until it slows again.

I have a SB8200v3 successfully connected to Xfinity/Comcast. All is working and good. I saw that there is a SURFboard Central app for connecting to the SB8200v3. Bluetooth is enabled and works, and I am close by the SB8200v3 device. I enter my email address, receive the code, and validate the code. However, the SURFboard Central app displays a “spinning circle” indicating to wait and never completes. I have waited 20 minutes to see if anything would happen. Is this happening because my device is already set up and working with Xfinity? If so, what would be the purpose of having the SURFboard Central app installed on my phone? What does this app let you do?

I am trying to set up an Arris S33 with Liveoak fiber internet service and the unit never stops blinking green. tried resetting it twice and it only goes back to flashing green. doesn’t go into pair mode or set up mode.

Multiple Level 1 Technicians have promised a callback from Melvin, Supervisor for Arris Technical Support Tier 2 Team, for several days on end. No callback has been received. Arris has been shipped back an S33 modem with power cord for a full refund per that agreed upon, but no meaningful response has been received from Arris. The Arris case number is 2412-06033.

Does Surfboard work with Verizon?

I got a new S33 modem because my old one the SB6190 seems to be failing because the internet speeds are all over the place. My router is the Orbi AX4200 or RBR750. The highest speed I was able to attain on the old modem was 750mbps but it’s usually around 500mbps. Optimum service is 1gbps. The S33 is activated with my ISP Optimum but it won’t handshake with my router AX4200. The light on the front of the modem is blue. What am I missing? Your help is appreciated.
