Wi-Fi Modems

I got a Arris SBG8300 recently and ever since I have been unable to access some websites and mobile apps (like What’sApp) on ethernet and wifi. Some websites are just ridiculously slow. Speedtest.net does not even work. I cannot sync my clock in Windows to any time servers (tried microsoft, google, ntp.org, nist.gov). My ISP says there’s nothing wrong with my connection. I’ve tried updating DNS servers and still having the problem. When I switch to my sibling’s wifi (same isp, different modem) all of these things work instantly and quickly.Not sure what else to do or what to check.

I am having trouble connecting my older version ipad to modem.

Earlier today my router was working as normal, but when I returned home all of the lights on the front of the modem were off and will no longer turn on. The Ethernet ports on the back are flashing green which indicates it is receiving power, but otherwise it’s giving no sign on life. Any ideas what may be the issue?

Optimally, without resetting everything else?

I recently switched my home Modem/Router to the SBG8300 and upgradED my xFinity internet to 800 MBPS. I am observing that the max WiFi speed is around 450-550 MBPS range. Does anyone know if this is what I should expect or if this an xFinity issue or a Modem/Router issue? How do I go about troubleshooting this?

why is it saying limit reached when it was working all day

After this storm my wifi name and password reset. It will not let me change it back. I need this fixed. 

I’ve been having this nagging issue ever since xFinity did some kind of local maintenance in my area and my internet connection keeps dropping out. Some times it will be up for a few hours, others just 1-2 hours but always drops just the same.I have included some images from the logs. I bought the Arris Surfboard SBG7400ac2, and it was great, but then the app stopped working completely. Now I can't log in and I can't manage any preferences or options for the router. How can I get in and manage preferences and options if the app doesn't work anymore?

ios app will not let me connect to the G36

I am getting this error code when trying to set up my app with the SBG8300.  I have not changed the network information as this is a new device — This is the first time trying to set up. Device is receiving and transmitting as all devices in the home are connected using the temporary SSID on the label.  What is the issue?

How can I change the password that came with the product?

It's obviously an Arris problem at this point. Wifi works 5 minutes then drops here on Sparklight as well. Beyond frustrating. Anyone recommend a different manufacturer wifi modem? I'm over Arris. LAN connections never drop FYI. 

I replaced my WIFI modem with the SBG10. I can no longer print directly from my iPhone or iPad. Research indicates I need to activate the bonjour service or zeroconf. I cannot find these options anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I have an SBG7600AC2 surfboard. I am trying to reset my password and customize my network name through the web manager.  However, when I enter in the “old password,” I keep getting a message that the old password is incorrect even though I’ve inputted it in correctly numerous times.  Please help.  Thank you 

Is there a firmware update (yes, I know the ISP, (that refuses to support me, or keep things up to date) pushes it) to enable Ethernet WAN on the DG3450 (SBG8300 has it, and it’s the same thing) 

Hello, I recently posted in this community regarding my Arris G34 router modem not connecting properly to my apple TV and Xbox One. I received an automated helpdesk response with troubleshooting steps. I followed the steps, and the issue is still occurring. At this point I would like to file a warranty claim to get the unit replaced, as it appears I have a lemon. How should I begin this process?  

How to set parental control on my Arris SBG7600AC2 . Nothing that I have being reading works . That’s so sad  that you buy a product and as soon the warranty  ended no more technical  support . 

Just got done installing a new G34, and ran into an issue during configuration…On the “Gateway > Connection > Wi-Fi > Networks” admin panel, I enabled Band Steering because I don’t want to hassle with multiple SSID’s. Tested a bunch of devices with this, and everything works fine.Now, I also want to completely disable the two Secondary and two Guest Wi-Fi networks. However, when I do so Band Steering also returns to disabled status.I thought to disable SSID broadcasting for each of them which would have been better than nothing, but Band Steering becomes disabled when that’s done as well.Am I going about this wrong, or is what I’m trying to do impossible? I’m aware I could set the Secondary and Guest network passwords to some off-the-wall value to secure them, but that would only be a workaround and obviously not what I’m actually trying to accomplish.Thanks in advance for any advice!

I forgot my password on the app and there’s no forgot password link 

I am unable to add profiles, which mean I have to use global exclusions (which it doesn’t appear to have a way to remove them once added). Is there a way to fix the app or is this not a bug? I have a Samsung Galaxy 23.Not sure why none of this functionality was made available in the gui or for a Windows pc.

I started using the G34 about a month ago and now I am experiencing "unstable network connection" errors and being dropped from meetings and other services.My network speed tests around 500Mbps.The drivers have been updated. The wifi channel has been changed. I've done all the things recommended that I've read here so far. I specifically got the G34 because it was recommended and on the approved list for my I SP (Sparklight).  What's left to do? Is this normal? Is there a better modem?

how do i log into my arris G34-7A49 to check the setting are correct?
