Does G36 support remote access? If so, where do you I configuree it?

SURFBoard app does not connect to wi-fi after factory reset. It knows what the router and password is and my phone app shows I’m connected. Regardless it says the connection ws not made. It was scanned and I was right next to the router. I’ve tried this a dozen times over the last week and it has never worked.

Hi all, I once was able to log into my account, then I did a reset and now I can not login again.  I have tried the admin and password thing, my email I used for initial setup, etc. and nothing works.  The app tells me my email and the password to use, but nothing is allowing me in again….and suggestions? It keeps saying “ Invalid Login Credentials! “

I cannot connect to the internet and turning the Arris on and off did not work 

We recently bought a g34 , set it up and it all works great but when we try to add an outdoor wifi outlet the app sees it but it times out. We have successfully added this outlet to another router and it works great we have concluded after trying every which way and getting the same result it may be the router settings-any help is appreciated. The plug is made by Tessan and has 3 outlets so you can plug something in and turn it on and off remotely thru wifi.Outdoor wifi plug 

Hello,My iphone 12 pro and ipad air 258812 are not having consistent wifi. They both connect easily and will work well for a few moments with my wifi but then internet browsing and app using slows and just stops loading pages or working consistently. The wifi is working great and consistent on my PC. I did a speed test and it had download speeds of 90.2 MBps and upload speeds of 11.2 MBPS. The all in one router surfboard I am using is: SBG6900-AC. This has worked great for all of my devices for the last several years with no issues. it’s just been the alst 7 days or so… I have enable band steering on arris I have already tried:unplugging router and plugging in.forgtting and reconnecting wifi on iphone.I have contacted both apple and my ISP (Spectrum) and they cannot help.  My iphone wifi works great on other wifi routers but NOT this one anymore for some reason. Please hel

When I browse to the admin page in Chrome I get the following message  The version of Chrome you are using is unsupported. Your Gateway's web interface has been tested to work with the minimum version: 70.0.3538.110.You may proceed with an unsupported version, but you might experience issues using the pages. My chrome is Version 108.0.5359.99 When I try Firefox I get this message The version of Mozilla Firefox you are using is unsupported. Your Gateway's web interface has been tested to work with the minimum version: 63.0.3.You may proceed with an unsupported version, but you might experience issues using the pages. My Firefox version is 108.0.1 Both of these are well beyond the minimum required version, why is it telling me this?

When it reboots it will say “Please wait while your Wi-Fi is initializing...”. This initialization can take 30 minutes or more. This will happen several times a day. I have resorted to occasionally doing a paper clip reset. Sometimes I cannot do this because I’m in a remote location.

I bought an 8300 so I could turn in our Comcast rental wifi modem. I selected the 8300 in part because it advertised the highest square foot coverage. We have a basic Xfinity plan - 75 Mb, and that has always been plenty (It was plenty for us at 25 and 50, back in the days when those were the basic plan data rates)The 8300 has so far been much less reliable, especially for my older Win7 laptop, which won’t connect at all despite 3 bars and 30 foot distance - almost line of sight location...my laptop connects only to our extender for the kids rooms down a hall, and that only intermittently. Out of curiosity I tried configuring the 8300’s guest network for 2.4G - still no joy.I turned on WiFi band steering and that somewhat helped, allowing me to connect but still only via the extender.Ideas anyone? 

After setting up my arris g34 and having successful internet connection, the unit stops connecting. Has to be reset to connect again. Have triple checked and internet service is active and cable to unit is good. ISP is Xfinity. Can you help me?

This is the most aggravating situation I had yet. I have gotten out of this once but can’t replicate how to fix it. But none of my networks has this. Also, even if the network is disabled it will show this message. There is no WPA3. I have a camera that used to work on this router but stopped communicating. I’ve also done a paper clip reset. 

I bought a Netgear mesh Wi-Fi extender and the router keeps disconnecting every couple of days. I’ve called and spoken to the extender customer support and they have helped me set it up twice. Within a couple of days it disconnects again. I’m now looking to see if something needs changed with the router? Or do I just need to buy a newer router?

I got a reply for a possible solution to my problem of moving from central to the Legacy app.  However now when I went to the app now it is going through steps for activation to get device up and running.  It is asking for service provider to connect to them.  This is all happening.  The router is connected to Xfinity already.All I wanted to accomplish with this new app was to see if there needs to have and updates or whatever.

As the title states, I received my SBG8300 modem/router two days ago. I immediately noticed that the 2.4 Wifi kept disappearing, and I lost connection. I’ve factory reset the modem, and the problem persists, and now my Alexa and Smart Life app is failing to connect since it requires 2.4 wifi. The website shows it is active.This is one of many problems I have experienced. I could use the web but not the mobile app, as it wouldn’t connect. Now I can use the mobile app, but the web won’t connect.Is this a product defect?Update: I got the Alexa and Web working. I’m still experiencing 2.4 wifi dropping while the app and web state it is online.

My signal keeps dropping.  How do I resolve this.  

Hello. We are trying to set up our Cable Modem LAN settings to an IP 192.168.1.247 but we can notchange it. Receiving error messages.Could somebody please show it work or send a link to an advanced user manual for this model. Thanks.

This is a follow-up toI bought an ASUS RT-AX86U Pro router and put the Arris in bridge mode. The ASUS does not have theproblem that the Arris has. With the Chromecast using the wired Ethernet connection, other devices (both wired and WiFi) can see it.

Anybody know if either of these support MU-MIMO? If not do any of the Surfboards?  Thanks 

Am I correct in assuming that my G36 assigns the WAN IP? I think my G36 changed the WAN IP when I reset to factory defaults.  Is there a way to keep the same WAN IP? If I edit and manually enter the WAN IP will it work?  I have other devices on the network that are dependent on the WAN IP. So, I want it to stay the same.

We have been using our Arris modem for over two years works great. We recently switched to tmobile from Xfinity.  We disconnect the service.  It's been just a month and we switched back because tmobile was dropping and services spotty.We are now with Xfinity. They say everything thing is set up.on their end. Gave them the serial number and Mac address.  While I can see the modem and connect,  it won't connect to the internet.  It does not seem to be communicating with Xfinity.  Does anyone have any ideas o what I can try? 

My ethernet speed seems to be capped at 100 and I can’t change modem to 1000.  I tried but it reverts back when I hit save.  I’m thinking it’s a link problem as speed & Duplex is set on auto negotiation but ethernet staus shows 100.

I am trying to hook up my new tv to the Wi-Fi. It’s asking for a WPA2 passphrase. I do not know how or where to find that. A friend of mine said our router may be WPA 1????? Please help!!!

Yesterday morning, I found my devices logged out of my G36 gateway and my Amazon Echo informed me that the password had been changed.  I unplugged the  gateway and went to work; it remains unplugged.  I don’t know what to do next. Was I hacked?  Is it safe to plug the router back in?

I have a G34 modem.  Recently my house was robbed with a lot of items stolen.  Was hoping to find some serial numbers for police tracking and insurance purposes of device that were on the network the last few months.  My ISP cox can’t show the history because of the modem but I’m hoping arris had a similar logging within its Surfboard Central app or the web gui.  Does anyone know if that exists and how I could find it?
