My Wi-Fi stopped working on multiple devices, some of my connected Wi-Fi is still working, ie, my TV, mobile phones, co.puters, but all of my other devices are offline, when connecting to the ssid it says no internet, yet other Wi-Fi connected devices are still connected. I can not connect my other devices as it says no internet on all broadcast ssids, I have factory reset the modem, yet still no success.

After discovering that the modem was rebooting every 5 or 7 minutes “exactly” I completed a “Restore WIFI Defaults” action this cleared this rebooting looping condition. Apparently the restore allows the firmware to reload clean defaults fixing erratic behavior like I was experiencing. My question is how can I determine what the actual cause that sent the modem into this condition in the first place? The modem is relatively new and operated great for a couple weeks before this problem occurred. I don’t want to have to do a restore everytime this happens going forward. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I just purchased a G54 and went through all the setup and activation with Spectrum. No issues, much more stable connection all is well. Until I had to swing all of my smart home devices over and many are having issues with the connection. My thought is the 2.4ghz vs the 5ghz may be the issue? I’m curious if anyone else knows how to remedy this? Most devices are a Google based platform and the previous router/modem from spectrum had no issues. I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting with Google and nothing seems to work. The only thing that has changed is this setup so I have to assume it’s to blame. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a SB6190 that’s maybe ?6 years old with COX Cable internet service. My download speed was around 90 MBPS when I had it routed through/to the wireless router but I had close to 0 upload speed (would vary between 0 to 0.1 to as high as maybe 2 if I was lucky). I then disconnected the wireless router and connected the Ethernet cable from the modem directly to the computer and the download speed went to 250-270 MBPS !! but the upload stayed very low, somewhere close to 0 or 0.2, rarely above 1-2. The speed I’m paying for is around 250 down so I don’t think I’m overtaxing the modem which is rated at 1000/1000. This all started about 6-8 weeks ago so I had COX come out and they replaced a connection at the house and the cable all the way to the pole and to the junction or distribution box at the top of the pole. I don’t know if they replaced a connection at the pole or the whole box. I live near the Gulf so the connections apparently can get corroded but the Tech did not leave any not

For the past few days, I haven’t had an internet connection. My provider (Xfinity) says their side is working, and my router (ASUS RT-AX58U) is indicating that this modem is the issue when I check the network diagnostic. I’ve tried power cycling, factory resetting both the modem & router (separately), and moving both to a different coax port. Unfortunately, none of that has helped. I can still see & connect to the network, but there’s no internet on any of my devices. if you have any suggestions as to anything else I might try before resorting to a technician visit from my ISP, I would greatly appreciate it. How to remove a satellite?

I’ve had my SVG2482AC Modem for about five years. Just now, the WiFi isn’t working. I did the following troubleshooting: Checked for XFinity outage in my area and there is none. Swapped out the coax cable coming from the wall to the back of the modem. Made sure connections were firm. Power cycled the modem Relocated the power to a different outlet. None of these worked to restore my WiFI. Any idea what could be causing this and I would appreciate some suggestions. Thanks

i have this Arris surfboard svg2482ac modem/router which i bought with TP link Deco x60 router. I did not know that The Arris was both modem and router so. when i set it up I was using The Arris for everything. I was having connection issues and started looking into it and got the tp link working properly.this now has a different IP address which works out great with everything except the printer (hp Officejet 4620). i am unable to get it to recognize the new IP address, it still shows the old one. It will only print with the USB enabled desktop. is there a simple work around that a novice could do to enable WIFI printing?

ive tried too access my user interface but no luck. it says i have an unsupported browser so i downgraded to the minimum it asks for and still no luck. i know my credentials are correct when login but its not letting me login. i havent changed the password infact ive never been able to login at any point.

Hello- I follow all of the appropriate steps to setup my router and when I get to the connection phase it slows down to nothing. Furthest I got was 5% and then it gives me an error with setup. I’ve reset the unit multiple times. I unplugged the modem and waiting 10 minutes, then rebooted that and let it connect. The lights are flashing white and green so it’s in the right spot but just wont continue on. This is for a DSL connection with new router that has never been setup before. Setting up on an Iphone running the latest software with the latest app. Utilizing the Surfboard Central app. Any suggestions?

I purchased the G34 Modem last week to replace an old modem that I had leased from my ISP - upon receipt, I followed all instructions, called the ISP to set up the new and she never could get it to “ping” on her end. It kept flashing blue. The next morning, it was solid blue, so I called back - she was able to identify the modem and got me set up, but could tell on her end that that the service was degraded, so she she up a tech service call. The tech was out this morning, tested everything and it is not the lines - we have good service coming to the house, but the modem will not connect. I have power cycled it and even hard reset it several times - but nothing. It will flash green, go solid blue for a moment, then back to flashing blue.

I have an older SB6183 and while it does everything that I want it to do from a performance standpoint, it stays constantly hot. It has plenty of room around it for airflow and it is shocking how hot it stays. There are 5 of us in the house using wifi, so maybe that plays a role, but I’d like to have something much cooler sitting near me on my desk instead of this hotbox. Do any modern modem offerings stay cool? There has to be a better option.

Hi! I am trying to get this modem registered, and it’s telling me the model and serial number aren’t matching. I need this fixed please. Justin

SBG8300 been working okay… but noticed the 2.4Ghz SSID might appear, and might not appear. If I reboot the SBG8300 after a while it might appear for a few seconds on SSID list, then go away. If you connect a hardwire and login to admin page you can see that the Broadcast SSID is set to Broadcast. There are SO MANY posts on this exact topic hard to keep track, and the answers are all pretty poor. Answers like do a hard reset on the modem, which I would have to do and reconfigure monthly - not a good answer. Or the answer to go in and set it to Broadcast. That one came from a NewBie just trying to rack up points. Why are SO MANY SBG8300 failing to broadcast the SSID for the 2Ghz band ? Sounds like a firmware problem to me. And I own this, so it is not monitored or updated by my ISP. Alike others here, my smart home Iot devices all stopped working when this problem started.

Hello, 1. I have a new G36. I have tried several times to use the Surfboard app but I keep stalling on the Register Your Device step, says WiFi Communication Error (000-1612) 2. I tried connecting directly to the G36 using the IP, it wants a password. Says the password is available in the app… see number 1 3. Customer support is closed 4. Tried the customer support chat since that is open. Can’t get past the warranty check after inputting my model G36 and the serial number Hopefully someone sees this soon Chat closes in an hour

Just activated the modem through Xfinity. When trying to connect it on our TV or laptop, it asks for password? I can’t find any password on the back of modem or inside the box it came in. Now what?

How do I setup my arris wifi box

Just got this Modem on sales from Amazon and is an SB8200v3 model and just had it swapped over w/ my cable company. All is good but want to know if ALL 4 lights stay on full time compared my my older SB modem where the globe light on the bottom would flash to show connectivity. Is this normal on this new one? Everything acceses just fine.

Having WIFI issues and internet provider says all is well in their end. Bought a new SBG7400AC2 and WIFI is showing up but is VERY slow and unresponsive. All the lights are on as they should be. Any ideas to help resolve?
