G54

How do I turn off the wifi on the Surfboard modem/router combo?? We are installing the eeros mesh system. 

On the G54, can you manually set 5 MHz to a specific channel?

Are there security features on the G54 surfboard?

My new G54 WiFi 7 cable modem router is unable to connect above 1Gbps. Cox has listed in their documentation as G54 802.11AX modem and no setting within their system will allow modem to work above 1Gbps. If box/documentation says compatible with Cox, Charter/Spectrum, or Xfinity, is that only compatible at 1Gbps or 2Gbps?

I’ve tried this setup and am still not able to connect not only Apple devices to the 6GHz network, but any other Wi-Fi 6e devices as well.On Xfinity internet Firmware Version:AC01.01.024_111023_G5X.04.20.121SDK:QCA_Networking_2022.SPF.12.1 CS1Wi-Fi Driver:WLAN.HK.2.8-01357-QCAHKSWPL_SILICONZ-1 v1

We tried all we could and Optimum even sent out a tech and he said they were getting numerous errors while activating the G54 internet . He said they finally got it successfully activated but the modem for a few seconds flashed a solid blue then green light and flashing green light ever since and hasn’t connected to the internet yet. I can get into the Surfboard central app features of the modem by continuing the install process without internet but that's it.

Newly bought G54 and service with Spectrum. Initially was working very well. Today, many websites can not load and others are dial up slow. Spectrum of course bounces this to Arris as there appears to be some service and feel its no longer their problem. They insisted for a hard reset as some channels are not working correctly and Arris would be better suited for fixing this. What is ACTUALLY the problem and what is a step by step process on how to remedy it, without getting bounced back and forth. 

Whenever I try and add a Manual Static IP for a device that is NOT a NAS, (An HP Multifunction in this case), I always get the error message “Invalid Input!”And when I try to add my iMac, I don’t get an error message, but it also does not subsequently show up in my Static IP list.Is this feature bugged?

Does the G54's 5GHz band have 160MHz channel width?Or is it limited to 80MHz?

I installed my g54 modem, activated it with Xfinity. It is showing online with Xfinity but when I connect to the g54 it tells me no Internet available. I can not connect with the surfboard app or by typing in 192.168.0.1, have reset the modem but still says no Internet.

I just bought a g54 arris modem and there are no lights on the front panel only the power light, Xfinity can not activate my modem.

Help,Im a Cox Cable user, going from the panoramic V8 (best modem they offer) to the now G54.I would like a solution or other options about the way the Ethernet ports work in the back.,First question: I left the cox modem because when in bridge mode only one port works. Im hoping thats not the case with the G54?2nd question: if in fact, this is the same situation… What do i do now to get my current Google Pro 6e wifi mesh system at speeds faster than just 100-200 MGPS?? I run my fast ethernet port to my 2.5 multiswitch to direct connect 2 laptops and 2 xbox systems. All of which will hit 2-2.3Gigs of speed. Problem now is i have no ports left over from Modem. i even tried using a port from the switch. Neither was a success. I spoke with Google and Cox and couldnt get them both on the same page and were of no help, both said to do opposite things.3rd question: Does Arris modems offer a way to turn off there WIFI only? this way im not running into “d

I am looking to purchase the G54. The location will be on the main floor of my house, but my office is on the 2nd floor. Is there an extender I can connect to the G54, so I can access an ethernet connection in my office?

Can i connect a switch to the 10G port on the G54 ?

All of my devices have connected to my new Arris 54 WiFi Cable Modem except for my SurfacePro. How do I get my SurfacePro to be able to connect to my G54?  Thx

So I have the IPv6 Enabled but not working so how do I set up??? Using Comcast Internet provider.

Does the G54 have a the Quality of Service (QoS) feature to manage and prioritize bandwidth priority?If not, any good reason why QoS is excluded?

G54 shows to have firmware AC01.01.015_051923_G5X.04.20.121  trying to get Xfinity to update on their end but they blame Arris saying the file should be here somewhere. This one is on their “enhanced network speeds” list so it should work but I believe the firmware is the holdback. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

I’m suddenly having photos on my remote drive showing up as corrupted with distortion and lines running through them. These images are transferred between my MacBook Pro and the Synology Raid via WiFi. The image can look fine on my computer but as soon as it’s transferred to the drive, it is corrupted. Or an image on the drive can look fine but then when I reopen it a few minutes later, it is corrupted. I suspect the G54 is causing this. How can I test for it and fix it?

WiFi signal is not being seen by my laptop, my laptop does see all the neighbors WiFi signals in my area. I have ten other devices on line with no issues, cell phones, smart TV's, iPads, all work fine on the WiFi, never seen this before, did reinstall on the NIC, updates on the PC, and NIC, ideas, help, greatly appreciate it. BTW, hard line CAT 6 works great. 

Does this modem and router combo have a WPS button?

Is there a way to create different wifi names for the different bandwidths? my older device (Surface Pro 3) can’t seem to connect to the wifi network at all

For the past few weeks my internet has gone out almost every day.  Resetting the modem seems to fix it, at least temporarily.  I’ve talked to Xfiniity several times and they say I should replace the modem, yet several nearby neighbors have had the same issue and it’s unlikely that all of our modems would malfunction at the same time.Unfortunately I don’t have much expertise with modem/internet setup and I have no idea how to troubleshoot it.  Any advice?

Super excited my G54 will be here in a few days and had a setup question. I will be splitting my network into multiple SSDIs for some devices that will only connect to a 2.4Ghz SSID. but my question is all my other devices will connect to the 5Ghz high band. Is it possible to only broadcast the 2.4Ghz band and the 5Ghz high band. Either hide the 6ghz and 5Ghz low band or disable those two bands?
