G54

modem i bought last year quit workling my internet at home doesnt work . what could be wrong ? this is $600+ when i bought it expensive and did not last..

This is going to seem naive for a small house but I had arris (SBG7600AC2) router/modem combo that encompassed the house but would start dropping connection (or it was comcast) and every time it did it pissed off all the echos and other smart devices in the house. So I purchased an overkill 54G which drops less but while the signal is good enough, there is too much “noise” to make some of my downstairs echos happy for multi speaker spottily. I started to hook up a ax1800 tp-link…. mostly because the wu6 has terrible reviews for the price. I mostly wanted to know if im wasting my time before I start drilling into my ceiling and getting a POE device if its possible. I dont see any walk thoroughs that use combo devices as first modem device. 

i’m getting an error that says (title) and I have 25 devices already added.is 25 the cap? (i doubt it) anyway, I’d appreciate some assistance. thanks. 

Recently changed out my modem/router setup from the provider supplied (spectrum) to a G54. I had some issues with smart devices and had to split the bands for connectivity. Now though I’m having issues I did not previously have with my provider. Online games are choppy and sporadic and even scrolling instagram it will just not load. My question is, are there particular settings that could be affecting this? Router is probably 15 feet from Xbox that is having streaming issues. I never had these issues with the one from my internet provider  

I just set up a G54 modem. My cell phone can connect just fine, but when my laptop connects, it says there is no internet. What's up?

I just purchased a G54 and went through all the setup and activation with Spectrum. No issues, much more stable connection all is well. Until I had to swing all of my smart home devices over and many are having issues with the connection. My thought is the 2.4ghz vs the 5ghz may be the issue? I’m curious if anyone else knows how to remedy this? Most devices are a Google based platform and the previous router/modem from spectrum had no issues. I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting with Google and nothing seems to work. The only thing that has changed is this setup so I have to assume it’s to blame. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

My Wi-Fi stopped working on multiple devices, some of my connected Wi-Fi is still working, ie, my TV, mobile phones, co.puters, but all of my other devices are offline, when connecting to the ssid it says no internet, yet other Wi-Fi connected devices are still connected. I can not connect my other devices as it says no internet on all broadcast ssids, I have factory reset the modem, yet still no success.

I am a new G54 user (long-time other-ARRIS product user). Recently replaced a G34. Internet connected fine. Devices connecting to router fine (I see all devices connected via the administration interface). Two shared printers, however, are intermittently unavailable to users; these devices are showing as having IP addresses assigned on the G54. From multiple Mac OS devices and from multiple iOS devices, I can print 20%-30% of the time to these printers, the other large % of the time I am showing an off-line message (MacOS) or the printer can't be located (AirPrint from iOS). I have swapped out the printers with backups, same issue. All devices in the mix have the latest firmware/updates. See nothing in any diagnostic logs. G54 has split mode disabled (single SSID). Is this a multiple wifi protocol/single SSID communication issue? Something else? Gonna have to shut this G54 down if I can't figure out how to consistently print. Any help would be appreciated.

A few weeks ago I was no longer able to watch Disney+ and Hulu on my TV, it works on my Google pixel phone. Disney support tells me my IP is showing up as being behind a VPN which I do not have installed on my equipment. They only work on my Google pixel 7 pro to watch content. Neither my ISP Xfinity or Disney can offer any solution. It was working fine but has since stopped working is there any kind of setting I need to change on my modem?

I followed the steps but dns is not working. I’m trying to connect to open dns?

Trying to set up new modem/router. I can connect to it, but without internet. Xfinity says they activated it and says it's online from their perspective. How do I get internet connection?Spent hours with xfinity help line to no avail. 

I need a compatible range extender for my otherwise excellent G54 Surfboard BE18000 device.  Does Arris make one?

I set up and had Comcast connect, but no internet.  Everything worked before I switched modems now a steady blue light stays lit and no internet.  Help!  TIA

no wifi on G54

I activated my g54 modem and the light stays solid blue, but I don't have internet access! The technician came to my house and said that everything is ok on their part!

I have been trying to install my new G54 modem, and it will not activate. The light is red, then flashes green then goes solid blue. Then after couple minutes it starts all over again. I have rebooted the modem several times. I have activated it on Xfinity network I am assuming but will not go online. Is there a problem with the modem? The app says to call support, but without Internet, I have no phone service. 

I recently started using this device on 03/23/25.  I have Spectrum Internet on the 1GB plan.  This Modem/Router keeps dropping the WiFi Networks constantly for no reason.  I replaced my Netgear Modem/Router for this device and feel I have made a  mistake.  I was looking to see if there was a firmware update but everywhere I look, it states that my ISP does the firmware update.  I call Spectrum and they state that they would not do the Firmware update as the device is owned by and I would have to update the Firwmare.  With that being said, there is no option in the GUI to update the Firmware or anywhere on the Internet to find the any Firmwares for this device.  Please help.

I login as Admin to G54 > Gateway > TimeI set the time server (time.google.com)I manually set US/Eastern TimezoneYet my router continues to be 4 hours ahead…No adjustments… Cannot manually set time...

I enter the correct password to connect to the 2.4 and or 6ghz networks and the response is that the password is incorrect when it’s 100% correct. I have restarted EVERYTHING multiple times and have even tried changing the password on the Gateway and it still says the passwords are wrong.

Using MacBook Air (Mac) Sequoia 15.3 Chrome Browser.I am able to connect to router and configure, but NEVER show up as a connected device.  iPhones, Printer (HP), SAMSUNG TV… But never my Mac… For that reason, I cannot connect to the printer.  Both iPhones do connect and print from the printer.My Mac displays the Wi-Fi signal with full bars… I cannot ping any of the “connected” devices.  Firewall completely disabled (IPv4 & 6). (I don’t think I need a reboot) I CAN ping the router. I can reach the internet.  But not talking to anybody on my 192 Net. Hello On a G54, Is there a way to limit the amount of time a device can access internet per day?  I currently use parental controls to turn off access to my kids devices between 9:30pm and 6am, and that works well. With summer break from school coming, I would like to find a way to allow them to use the internet for a set period of time per day, but whenever they choose. For instance, similar to WiFi at a hotel, where you have to “login” each day and the WiFi expires after a certain amount of time.  Can I do that with my G54, or can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hello, I need some help with my G54 modem.Network: My G54 will act as my bridge, my UDM Pro will handle assigning IP addresses to devices. I will be setting up VLANs on a switch and I’ll be using mesh nodes for AP (replacing repeaters.)Issue: When I enable Bridge Mode on my G54 and restart it, my connected Router does not recieve a WAN IP, only a LAN IP.  When Bridge Mode is disabled, I have both on my UDM Pro router. I have been factory restting my G54 to recieve internet access/connection when this fails.When I connect my laptop to G54 (in bridge mode) my laptop is assigned a 169. IP but when I connect to the Router (while G54 is in bridge mode I get a 192. IP, but I do not gain internet access.)Troubleshooting attempts: I tried cloning the MAC address assigned to my laptop, it recieved from the modem, to my UDM Pro’s WAN1.
