How can I connect my modem?

The power went out and when the modem came back on it only flashes green. I pulled the power out for 30 seconds but no change. I tried doing the reset button while I was flashing and still only flashing green. Not sure what else I can do?

I've unplugged every cable, replugged, waited 5 minutes while everything was unplugged, waited 5 minutes after modem had solid light before powering the router, attempted powering both router and modem at the same time, tried timing them to be on at the same time, done a soft reset, and my modem still won't connect to wifi. Its done this before multiple times, but till now ive been able to resolve it and see it finally connect, but this time it will not. My asus router isn't old and it says theres a problem at the modem. My internet is fine. This only happens if the power goes out and it tries to reset.

Hello, I have a small mesh wifi network comprised of two W12’s (one of which is operating as router connected to the SB8200 via ethernet) and the other which acts a node. My GF just recently got a stay at home job which she got a desktop for and it needs to be connected via ethernet. When I went to connect the ethernet into the other port initially it wouldn't connect to the desktop. So I rebooted the system to which the ethernet worked but the router wouldn't connect. After hours of trouble shooting I found myself here. Any recommendation as to how I can hard wire a device to my modem while still allowing my wifi to work?

Hi, I am trying to set up parental controls. I have a SB8200. I downloaded Surfboard Central, but don’t see the option to create users or set up rules to manage their screen time. Thanks for any help!

So every single light is showing blue except the power and online light. The light is kind of white but not on if that makes sense. Everything else is working fine other than the fact I can’t connect to the internet, it’s not even showing up anymore. I’ve tried resetting it and turning it off and back on again but nothing seems to help. What’s wrong with it?

My modem won’t stop making a ringing sound when on. This started around a year after first using the modem.

The first light is solid but the second is just flashing. Did the ethernet to the laptop and still no internet, can't even connect to the modem itself.

I need to set up my name for my Internet and password

I’m replacing my Motorola MG7500 with a SB33v2 which will service my TPLink Archer router. I think I’ve established service to Xfinity, but can’t seem to raise the router in any configuration -- my LAN connection shows a router through Xfinity which makes me believe the router on my side is being circumvented. I am getting traffic from the internet back to my laptop in the below configurations: cable → modem→ router→ switch->laptop cable → modem → router→ laptop. Do I need to reset anything on the modem proper? Is there some guidance on troubleshooting?Is there an intermediate step available to connect to router directly? Purchased this modem 4 months ago and it worked perfectly until “I moved it on the shelf.” Seemed to go into a standby mode - has power but does not receive internet signal or reset when I tried to do that. Called cable company to check it out, tech said it’s a modem problem and recommended I purchase an SB6190 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem (which I just did). My question ~ will ARRIS allow me to return it, and refund me for this defective modem? (I sure hope so.) Not having internet, because of this defective modem, has put me in a difficult position as I work two days at the office, and three days from home.

I just bought model SB6190 but when I was trying to activate it ; it is not supported by surfboard central app .

Sb8200 second port not working?

Has anyone had issues getting new modems to work on cox. I have tried the G34 and SBG10 working with Cox for days ~ 18 hours on the phone finally being told modem not compatible. i have Cox complete care, technician said there were no issues with cable. It was after this that I have not been able to login 192.168.0.1 with my 2006 SBG6580. which Cox says is outdated. yes cleared cache cookies used MAC , Windows, Chrome, Safari. ??? Thanks

The manual instructs me to open a browser & enter an IP address to log in to change the name / password for the modem. When I do so, I get an error message saying the site can’t be reached. I’ve tried on 3 different browsers and I get the same error message. I have the SB8300.

Cox, communication, changed my modem to my new arris. Surfboard model S33V3. However, I cannot get it to connect to wifi.

I have an sb8200, and it reboots randomly several times a day. The cable company says everything looks good on their side. Is this a sign of a bad modem? I checked all the connections and reset the modem to factory settings, but even after doing that, it still reboots, kicking us off all our streaming devices.

**** Excuse the SN8200 in the title ***** Moderator can you fix please? **** I had a T25 VOIP modem but dropped VOIP and the T25 was only functioning at maybe 75% of an advertized connection of 500 generally much less maybe 275 or less. This SB8200 doesn’t seem to perform much better or maybe worse from time to time. These are images from a 3 hour fresh Comcast/Xfinity connection and I have used the ‘reset’ depress on it. Channels 33 and 34 interest me. The channels that aren’t in the image are similar to what’s in those that can be seen. What about the errors on boot that I see? I’ve had this S33v2 device in place with eero 6+ mesh devices and Xfinity ISP since Aug of 2023…it worked well until 2 days ago. The WiFi dropped, I assumed it to be a temporary Xfinity outage. After several hours I checked the modem and it had a solid while (greenish) light, normally its blue. The device was making a high pitched buzzing noise that I hadn’t previously heard. I disconnected both the power and coax, waited and reconnected…the light immediately turned solid white upon connecting power. I attempted to reset the device via the recessed reset button on the bottom of the device. I followed the instructions in the user manual holding the reset button for over 7 seconds, the light never changed from solid white. I’ve attempted several more times, holding the reset for up to a full minute, same result, the light never changes from solid white. Disconnecting the coax and connecting only power, the light goes immediately solid white. To rule out faulty coax, Ii swapped the cable
