I recently bought the Surfboad SBG8300. The WiFi signal is not great in various parts of the house. Is there a WiFi extender or a mesh system that is compatible with this modem/router? What should I add to the system to extend the WiFi signal? Thank you!

All of my devices have connected to my new Arris 54 WiFi Cable Modem except for my SurfacePro. How do I get my SurfacePro to be able to connect to my G54?  Thx

First of all, my speed test only shows 60 for download. That may be the problem? But I have an SBG8300, and I'm only getting sound on all my streaming services. The picture is black and buffering on Netflix. On Hulu and Peacock, I get sound, but the screen is green. Anybody ever have this problem or know how to fix it? I already restarted the modem. This problem is in my new TV. Old TV doesn't have this issue. On the TV with the problem, the home screens on all streaming services are good and clear.

I am trying to connect to my WiFi but unable to connect to both 2.4 and 5.When trying to sign in on the app, it tells me to connect to the networks but am unable to. My ethernet works fine, but can not figure out what to do.G34 w/ XFinity service 

How to log into router if I never set username & password

So I have the IPv6 Enabled but not working so how do I set up??? Using Comcast Internet provider.

I have been trying to reset the admin login and password with no success. I have held the reset button on the back for up to 1 minute  

I purchased a new SBG8300 from Amazon a little over a month ago and it had been working fine. Last week the wifi connection started dropping out. Devices wouldn’t stay connected. It turned out that one of the issues was with my service provider. Their issue was all fixed on Friday and they even let me use one of their routers over the weekend to ensure everything stayed connected correctly. Now I have switched back to the SBG8300 and added the same ssids as before. Hardwired devices work as they should. 5G WiFi devices stays connected 90% of the time. 2.4G WiFi devices will not connect at all. The 2.4G ssid continually goes in and out back to back and never lets anything connect and even when it does, it doesn’t have internet access. I also had an issue with devices auto connecting even though the ssid/password are exactly the same as before. This is a continuing issue after multiple power cycles and factory resets. What could be the issue? 

Good day, I recently had some connectivity issues with my Spectrum service.  I had been using an Arris modem provided by Spectrum for years, but part of resolving their issues, they replaced my old Arris modem with a super duper Hitron modem.Speed with Hitron modem is improved, but it unfortunately connects only to a single PC in my home, it WILL NOT CONNECT to my Cisco RV325 Small Business Router.  Previously, the old Arris “just worked” as far as getting an IP from Spectrum to allow all systems on my network to have internet access.  However Spectrum is unable to provide any support other than “it works on our side”, and tell me that I need to contact Cisco.I see on the Spectrum site that the Arris SB6190 is compatible with their service, and also see that I can purchase one from Best Buy.  Will the Arris SB6190 be able to connect to my Cisco Router?I will run to Best Buy and pick one up!!   

I am using the quick start guide that came with my product. I have completed step 1-4. I did have to use my cell phone because I don’t have a laptop. It says in step 5 that the lights will go solid white after us/ds and online stop blinking.  first my online has never started blinking and it never goes solid.

Hi, I recently used G34 to replace Xfinity’s own modem. However, I noticed the upload speed is dropping from 100 Mbps to 4 Mbps. So I am wondering what might be the reason? And how to fix this issue.Thanks,Yanghao

Nov 2023 installed ARIS S-33 modem. Data usage went from an average of 350Gb/month to 1323Gb/month for Nov & Dec 2023 and Jan 2024.No changes in data intensive activity, no gamers. Only change is went to Hulu Streaming TV and dropped Xfinity Cable TV.Any ideas why this would happen?

I am trying to setup my ARRIS modem MODEL SB8200. Xfinity has done everything on their end and can confirm there is a strong signal, however I am not seeing the modem in my network to login. Please advise...

What version do I have? The info page shows "NA". How do I perform an update? 

Switched from cable to fiber network that is PoE can’t connect to network 

So I had a S33 for a few months, then it stopped working. Arris sent a replacement. The new one won’t connect at all. I worked with Xfinity for over an hour trying to get it connected and they told me there was a Docsis error on the modem. So I’m using a rented Xfinity modem now and it works perfectly.I called Arris about just sending theirs back for a refund but I was told that was impossible since it was a replacement. They want to go through troubleshooting before they’ll even offer any recourse.I am done with Arris I think. After going through two bad modems I just want a refund. Will they offer a refund if I go through troubleshooting with them and it still doesn’t work or will they just send an endless stream of replacements until my warranty runs out?

Tried to activate an Arris S 33 with Xfinity, Xfinity said that my old 6190 modem is too slow for my internet speed, and I needed to upgrade.  My modem won’t activate, I have tried many times using the app, the light flashes green, and after 11 minutes the app says it couldn’t find the modem.  I hooked up a computer to the modem and on the status page is says security failed, and Docsis network access enabled, Status Denied.  Today, Xfinity came out to check my lines, I had a weak signal, they replaced lines and connectors and when the tech was done, I had a great connection.  He tried many times to activate the modem and couldn’t.  He finally called his tech people.  The tech lady tried to activate the modem on her side and said that it showed active, but wasn’t connected.  She said that she couldn’t see an IP address for this modem, and because of that, couldn’t activate the modem.  She told me to contact Arris and see if anyone has had this problem and how to fix this problem.  This

I posted on here a while back about my S33v2 randomly rebooting several times a day. I have been chatting with some Xfinity agents on Reddit and they lead me to an interesting discovery. While the S33 is on the list of recommended devices, the S33v2 is merely listed as compatible and not recommended. According to the internet, the v2 was released in mid-2021. Despite a different chipset and firmware, there is little difference between the two. Why has Xfinity not certified the v2 version in the last 2.5 years when it is clearly the newer product and probably the only one you can actually buy for the last 2.5 years?My issue is clearly something to do with this modem as I had been using Xfinity’s XB8-T modem for the last month and had zero issues.Is there anything I can do about this except just keep using the XB8-T and eating the $15 bucks a month?If they havent certified the S33v2 in 2.5 years, is there a decent chance they will ever do it?Thanks

My sb8200 has 2 internet ports. The #1 connects laptop to modem. It flashes orange. 2 connects my router to the modem. It flashes green. Shouldn’t both be flashing green?

I just setup the SBG8300 and now that I have the device configured I was wondering if there was a way to backup the settings just in case ?

Help! I have XFinity internet, and their technical support team insists the problem lies with my modem/router. I’ve had an Arris G36 Gateway for less than two years, but for the last few weeks, my internet keeps disconnecting, and when it does work, it’s painfully slow. The XFinity rep said there could be missing or outdated boot files. Could that be correct? If so, how do I update  them? Thank you in advance, sincerely.Signed, Noob.

I have been trying to sign into my router and the username and password listed on the bottom of it does not work. I also can’t find it online. On the bottom it says it’s a Technicolor CVA4004TCH1. It’s not even listed on the Technicolor website. The only search results I get for “technicolor cva4004” appear to be either fake malicious websites or a website called cox that doesn’t tell me anything relevant. When I go to the address that’s listed right above the username and password, it brings up a page that says technicolor DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem, but again, the login does not work. I’ve searched the internet for an hour now and have found no solution.

My wifi status are showing all disconnected. When I try to start the 2.4G/5G radio, the dashboard says “Operation Failed”. I tried to do the factory resetting, it won’t allow me to set up the wifi name/password either. The error message is still “operation failed”. The wired connection works fine.  Anyone has suggestions on how to fix this ?
