I have tried unsuccessfully to connect my HP 8720 printer to my Arris 8300 modem/router. I’ve tried the usual turn off/on router, printer in the various sequences. I can see all of the router connections, but not the main one, which I renamed and re-passworded.  Thanks in advance for your help. 

Hello I just set up my modem, is there a way to delete devices under the my devices tab? I can’t seem to find anything and I’m not sure what device is connected.

Hello everyone ,Today, I purchased a used (preowned) cable modem, specifically the SB8200 model. Upon exploring its Event Log, I noticed several recurring issues related to synchronization and ranging failures, such as:1-SYNC Timing Synchronization failure.2-No Ranging Response received.3-Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicast Maintenance opportunities received.4-Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received.5-16 consecutive T3 timeouts while trying to range on upstream channel 8.6- Unicast Maintenance Ranging attempted - No response - Retries exhausted. Could someone please help me understand what these event logs mean? Do they indicate a problem with the device? Would it be advisable to return it, or are these issues not significant?Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Can the MTU setting be accessed and modified on Model G36? If yes, where in the menu can the MTU setting be located? Thank you.

So, my question is, can the G34 be connected to Xfinity voice?

I can only find one Mac I’d number, but the Xfinity guy said there should be two. Anyone know why or where it is located?

I lost power with W21 satellite plugged into a surge protector. Now it cycles on about 2 minutes, dies, and repeats. I tried hard reset and same. It only gives me the onboarding signal a few seconds and restarts. When power first came back on the satellite failed to reconnect and was disappeared from the surfboard app. I’m really thinking it’s faulty. The main W21 is working great. 

Why is my devices with lan cable the only devices lagging and when i go to the app it says that device has poor single can pls help.

Hi, I’ve tried in vain to change the admin password. I keep getting invalid password error code. I follow the prompts exactly, at least one upper case character, at least one number, at least one special character, 8 to 20 characters. I contacted Cogeco, who is my internet provider, and they were at a loss - suggested rebooting the router, and trying again. I read some of the queries here, and there’s mention of using the “wizard,” however this only changes the network password. Again, I’m trying to change the default admin password to one of my choosing. Is anyone able to shed some light on how to get this done? Thanks, A2B

I can’t get my router hooked up. Only the first two icons light up. When trying to access the internet I get a message that says this device is blocked by access control in the router. How do I fix this?

Hi! I’m having issues connecting to the internet with my SBG8300. After losing power the online LED turns on but the WiFi LED will not turn on. I’ve power cycled multiple times. Tried plugging into a power strip and directly to the wall. I’ve tried to factory reset but cannot connect via the web interface. I tried to console into the Ethernet port and still the web interface would not work. I have called my provider and they also cannot communicate with my SBG8300. Any other suggestions? 

I just installed and set up an Arris Surfboard S33. We are running Windows 10 on our PCs. When I go to the Surfboard Management console at 192.168.100.1 and enter “admin” and “password:” as instructed by the user manual, I get an error message that the username and password are not correct. This happens with all browsers. Can anyone provide any guidance, assistance or correct instructions? Thank you.

Hello everyone, I am trying to reset my SB6183 Modem because my Mac has been hacked. I followed  the steps that were provided in the article, unfortunately no Factory Reset Button was there as described. Can anyone help me please?

Mr. Moderator, before you tell me the SBG8300 firmware update is pushed out by the ISP, please be aware I have read the other posts on this issue, I have just got off the phone with Xfinity, and they say it has to come from Arris.  Regardless of who it comes from, please, just inform me and your every loving public what the latest firmware version number might be.  I have 01.02.078.04.NCS.  I saw that in an earlier post, but nobody answered the question.  Maybe it is time for the consumers to know the magic number.  I’m not asking to download it myself, just want to know if I need to push Xfinity for a newer version.I have issues with parental controls giving me “Operation Failed” errors when I try to add, edit, or delete items.  I’m not tech savvy and not sure firmware is the issue. I tried to reset the SBG8300, but it did helped. I have an SB8200 modem. Currently, my modem is plugged into my Vonage phone modem, and my phone modem is connected into my Netgear Wifi router. I want to connect my SB8200 directly into my Netgear router and use one of the ports on the router to supply my Vonage modem. I tried this setup; however, I cannot get the Netgear router to recognize the SB8200 modem; i.e. I get no connection into the router.

I’ve lost my password and I don’t see any way to reset it.  Can that be done? 

HelloMy Arris Wi-Fi router is working fine. However, I’d like to use the Ethernet ports on 2 devices for hardwire connections. In the past, I did not have any issues with hardwire but for some reason(s) I cannot get a hardwire connection for my Fire Stick and Max Free Streaming TV box. I did not have this issue before. I’m using an Amazon adapter for the Fire Stick which worked before. But when I check the Fire Stick Network, it shows I’m connected only to my home Wi-Fi and not as a hard-wired connection. I’ve also noticed there is no Ethernet Cable on the Arris router. Should there be one?I’m using a CAT8 ethernet cable on both devices. Wondering if the CAT9 cable is compatible with the devices. Do you recommend I reset the Arris Router?I would appreciate it if you could provide me with some information and suggestions to get this matter resolved. Thank you so much. P/N: SBG00DA76950B  

I live in Springfield, MO with MEDIACOM as my ISP. Does anyone know of an ARRIS Modem or any Modem with Telephony that’s compatible with Mediacom? Mediacom, if I contract phone service, is trying to force me to buy their “retail” modem for $199. I’m certain it’s a configuration situation with a non-Mediacom Telephony Modem to make it function.

Is it necessary to update any firmware on theSB8200 modem?

If I purchase a new modem, can I call and get support? It’s too bad the company doesn’t even have a sales phone number!!!

 I have a SBG7600AC2 and I cannot find any documentation on how to see up the LAN. I cannot change the Names on the client list so most everything is “unknown”. Also I don’t know why this documentation is not easier to get to or find. The documentation in the support page has no information about the LAN set up, which I find strange. Anyway right now I’ll settle for the information I need to set the LAN up. 

Arris app not letting me log in keeps saying a credentials update.

An ARRIS modem model #TG1682G was just installed by my internet provider. I am trying to change the preshared key but cannot log in to ARRIS. I go to 192.168.0.1 I type in admin and the unit password from the modem label but I get the invalid user name or password. So I tried the Preshared key number for the password, still no go. I have no idea what to try next. BTW I tried entering several times just incase I fat fingered a key and still can’t get in. Help, please>

I just bought a SBG8300 to replace my old cable model and netgear nighthawk ac1900.  performance of the new arris modem/router is very disappointing.   I get 450mbps right next to the router,  60-80mbps 20-25 feet away,  and 0-20 mbps 30 feet away.   that’s far worse that the nighthawk that’s nearly 10 years old.  is there anything I can do to improve wifi signal strength or it’s just the way the SBG8300 is?

Trying to hook up an Orbi mesh system and was told to shut WiFi off on the arris surfboard 7600 but can’t remember password to turn it into bridge mode. Any help would be appreciated
