eMTA - Voice enabled Modems & Wi-Fi Modems

Supporting the product a company makes is no longer in fashion...they forget...when you disrespect your customers you get fewer of them.

Is ther any product available that ican handle faster internet speeds than the SVG2482-AC, I need wi-fi, router and voice enabled. If not available in one machine,what do I need ? Xfinity keeps sending me notices that I my modem can not handle the speeds I am eligible for.

how do i change the wifi password? please don’t refer me to your link because its not available . ive tried referencing many other customers same question and have not seen an answer. I have Surfboard SVG2482AC

I currently have the SVG2482AC with my Xfinity account. Xfinity notified me that I have faster internet speed but this router does not support the higher speeds. What would be a good, low cost replacement for this router? I need the same features as I plug a business phone into this router. I don’t have any issues with this router and wondering if I should just keep or upgrade to accommodate the higher speed. Thoughts and recommendations?? Thank you!

I am trying to disable DHCP on my SVG2482AC router but I do not see the option anywhere. I bought this device on my own and got it activated by comcast. I see various other DHCP options like begining and end addresses, but no option to disable it entirely. It looks like I am running this software image: SVG2482AC_3.14p16s1_PROD_sey which from my understanding is Comcast’s custom firmware. Is there a way I can disable DHCP myself, perhaps by re-flashing the retail firmware somehow?

Need to connect to 2.4 GHz to activate security camera

When I activated my ARRIS router way back in 2019, I gave it a custom USERNAME and PASSWORD. I tried logging in today using the two I chose, or at least wrote down. It will not let me in. I tried the factory default (username: admin and password: password) No go. My question is...is there anyway to reset my logon username and password without doing a factory reset?

hi there surfboard people, my Arris svg2482ac is working, but, the battery backup is not. I’m told not to invest in another battery. The prior battery replacement purchase was a dud, with no returns allowed, thanks Amazon. I’m looking for a replacement router (Arris or non-Arris) that has the same features, telephone jack, battery backup, compatible with Xfinity. Can ya help me? TIA

I receive daily calls from another Xfinity customer who has an X1 gateway. I have an Arris T25. When the calls are made to me, the caller’s ID shows up on my phone and TV screen, but when I answer the phone, I hear nothing. The caller doesn’t hear me answer and says all he hears is the phone continuing to ring. But I can call that same Xfinity customer without a problem and we both make and receive calls involving third parties. Anyone have similar experiences with the T25 and Xfinity and, if so, how was the issue fixed? Seems like an Xfinity system issue rather than the modem, but I thought I would check. Thanks.

I purchased the same TM822 router and when i install it, there is no dial tone on my phones. When i put optimums tm822 router back phones work. Can someone help?

I have a DG3450 and I use its moca network for some tivo devices. I'd like to use my own firewall/router & wifi access points but keep the moca network. If I put the cable modem in bridge mode I understand I would lose the moca networking. Could I do a mac bridge to my router, run my local wired and wifi from that and keep the moca network on? I figure I would only have one IP address from my isp and it would go to the router. I need to allow the moca tivo devices to access the internet and they need to get local ip addresses by dhcp. Can I set the Arris to work as a dhcp server for the moca and use 192.168.1.250-192.168.1.255 range to keep from conflicting with my wifi? Would this work? The alternative is completely bridge the cable modem and buy a moca bridge.

How can i chnage my password

New T25 connected a week or so ago lost internet connection then when reset only 1 of the 32 channels now working so can only connect 1 device at a time even with router.

Every few days my 2.4ghz WiFi will disappear. Removing power to reset it works but I can’t figure out why this happens. Never happens on 5ghz Things I’ve tried: I have tried manually changing the channel but that didn’t help. I changed channel bandwidth from 20/40 to 20 and that didn’t help. I’ve posted my current settings. Ran WiFi spectrum to see what was going on (see picture) Any ideas? Ed

Hello, I have ARRIS vip 1113 IPtv box Recently when I connect it to tv via HDMI just a light orange page is shown. I reset device, it updated and again light orange screen is shown. I'm an electronic engineer so if you help me how can I fix this problem I can repair it. Regards, Mohsen

T25:modem drops caller id after about one week of being online. Only way to restore is to power cycle modem.

I bought the same modem/router Arris NVG443B, I am currently renting from my service provider. It lights up and works or shows that it should. My provider says it shows it is connected or working. My desktop computer won’t connect to the internet, my phone recognizes it, but will not connect either. I am trying to get away from the monthly rental fee. What are my options to try to get it working? Thank you.

Hi when i try to use Paramount Plus it flags up the 6015 error, try turning off the AdBlocker on your router. I have a NVG578LX through YouFibre in the UK. Can you advise how i turn off the AdBlocker on my router ? Regards Simon

I have a 2-year-old Arris T25 modem. Every two days between 9:30 am and 10:45 am, it reboots without any action by me. It’s been happening for weeks, and always two days between reboots, no more, no less. Is it the modem, or Xfinity? The event log always reads the same: PacketCable Events (Edited content with personal information) DOCSIS Events Four minutes before the reboot (Edited content with personal information) Just before the reboot (Edited content with personal information) When I check the status, all parameters are within the proper range, but I don’t have a reading from the moment the modem reboots. I'm trying to decide whether to replace the modem with the Netgear CM2050V-100NAS, or call Xfinity. Thanks.

Can I delete the app from my phone once the modem is set up?

Hi, I recently bought a new to me Lenovo Laptop with Windows 11 on it. It works fine at my business with the Verizon router but at home with the Arris on Xfinity it will not allow me to access the internet ? It says “connected” but no internet access. I am using Firefox but have tried Edge and Chrome just to be sure it wasnt the browser. Any thoughts ? Is anyone else having the same issue ? The Modem/Router is probably 4 years old ? I cant seem to find a way to check to see if it has the latest firmware. I have a desktop, two phones and a tablet and all of them connect just fine.

I’m using EERO mesh wifi which works GREAT. We have Comcast/Xfinity for internet and voice. We want a router to tie into the T25 for our devices.
