eMTA - Voice enabled Modems & Wi-Fi Modems

So, i activated bridge mode NAT by error and now i got no internet connection, the model is: TG2482A and i don’t really know what to do… if someone can help, i would apreciate it

I am texting from Ontario Canada. My mom recently moved into retirement home and part of the plan included fiber optic TV and Internet. The modem is an ARRIS model VIP 7802. She has macular degeneration and glaucoma and can’t see the small button remote that came with the TV provider. I’m trying to hook up a Aftermarket TV remote called “one click” manufactured by “Simpl” for my mother. The codes that were provided in the box for the Arris products did not open it. When I contacted the company for the remote said will work on modems manufactured until 2022. Those are current codes for them. I noticed on the back of the modem it’s manufactured in 2023 and I’m wondering if there’s any new codes for this new modem to be able to hook up this aftermarket remote to operate the TV. I understand that this remote is Wi-Fi and I’ve read that it will do IR remotes, is that the correct statement? I bought a refurbished T25 but I can't add it to my ISP because it is still registered on someone else's account. Any ideas?

Arris SVG2482ACI reset the router to the factory default. I am able to to see and connect to both Wifi connections and I can connect directly using the ethernet port. I am also able to ping the the router @ 10.0.0.1 on all three access points. But I am not able to open the web GUI console (http:/10.0.0.1 or https:/10.0.0.1). It just spins and never timeouts with any errors. I have tried Google, Firefox and Edge browsers, all having the same result. Any suggestions on what to try next would be greatly appreciated.One question, does the router have to be activated by Xfinity to gain access to the local router first? I was thinking I should be able to login and reset the password from the default before activating it.Thank youDon  

My SVG2482AC battery backup is not working during blackout; when the power comes back the battery light on the modem is illuminated; when the power is out the battery light was off. Any help appreciated. 

I have routinely shared files + directories from my DELL Desktop to my LENOVO laptop. Yes: I know how to configure Win11 to share files with full permissions. My former NETGEAR WiFi-Router made this easy across my home WiFi, same channel, but the Netgear broke.  I replaced it with an Arris SVG2482AC I configured for ‘medium security’.  Now I have no functional home network. My Desktop + Laptop cannot see each other on my WiFi network. Please help me share files across my WiFi home network between my desktop & my laptop.  Thank you. 

I’d like to connect a hard drive to my Surfboard AC1750 (aka SVG2482AC) to share files across my family’s Windows home network. I connected a drive to the USB port, and accessed the router/modem. Online instructions I’ve seen for the AC1600 say to click the USB tab at the top of the Surfboard management page (which I accessed via browser at http://10.x.x.x), but no USB options exist for this iteration of the Arris page (see screenshot) and there doesn’t seem to be a way to access/add a USB device. Is it possible to add a hard drive to the AC1750/SVG2482AC?

Ziply Fiber just provided me with an Arris NVG578HLX GPON gateway device for my new Fiber service. This service is a major upgrade from the DSL service I was getting before. At present, everything is working perfectly.What I can use help with is where can I get technical support for this product or find where I can get a more intensive user guide that the simple two page one that I can find online.FWIW, I have already been directed to the CommScope site, but this seems to be for contract-related services and still couldn’t find anything related to this gateway there … nor would I be interested in signing up for a support contract.Finally, is this community the right place to ask questions or get information about this gateway, or can someone provide me with some links on where I can find an equivalent community to go to?Thanks

I bought a router of this series and brand on Amazon, the problem is that the Wi-Fi comes off already connected through phones and computers and the Wi-Fi network connection does not exist, it does not appear, help me, I paid 130 for the new one, it is connected to the ixfinity network, I already entered it, Manuel, mind you, how is it in the router, it does not appear, it does not exist, as if there was no Wi-Fi

I have a model NVG558HX that I bought from Verizon. I typed the model# in the ARRIS site and it doesn't come up. My question is, I got rid of Verizon and got a chip from AT&T and put it in. It turns on broadcast wifi, but won't connect to AT&T towers.Can I change a setting to get it to work?Or should I call AT&T to see what they can do.

Purchased SVG2482AC new today...got internet connection and voice service but no wifi and customer service is gone for the day. Internet keeps telling me every website is not secure and to go back. Can anyone help, please? 

Hello everyone. The MoCA configuration on my Arris TG3452A modem keeps going back to disabled after a restart. So every time an outage or anything happens that restarts the router, I have to go to the only part of the house where WiFi works, log into the device, and re-enable it so the extenders work again. If I’m not home, then everyone is up in arms. We work from home, so that’s a problem.Does anyone have a clue why this setting would switch itself off on a restart?The thing I’ve had this modem router for years and it used to retain its MoCA configuration just fine. For some reason this problem started a few months ago when we switched to a faster service tier. I can’t say it’s the cause of it, but it coincided with it. I’m wondering if a firmware update introduced the issue.Two people at my ISP said it must be a faulty unit. They swapped it for a new one. I just tested it by simply restarting it (not resetting it, just restarting) from the web interface. Same

How do I upgrade my modem to WPA2 security? 

Just replaced an aging SBG10 with the SBV3202. The two ports on the SBG were used for 1. google mesh Wi-Fi and the other for a switch. The switch ran a voip router and 3 computers. With the SBV I only get one wired port so it went to the switch. The SBV has phone so that eliminated voip router. The only change was to move the mesh system to the switch, but it now also provides Wi-Fi. Just used as a range extender with old modem. I am not able to keep the internet connection stable coming out of switch. I can reset it, unplug, replug the switch and ethernet cables and it just won't stay online. I get a few mins or an hour and the connection drops. Switch never gave me any issue with the old surfboard. Is there a setting or firmware or software that I need? Or is there a preferred switch to match with the new modem? Thanks for any help

For the SVG2482AC unit I am trying to turn off the onboard wifi.  I plug into it with a cable, check IPconfig and see 10.0.0.1 as the gateway but I cannot log in with either Edge or Firefox.  Just spins, never prompts for credentials.  This wifi seems to be conflicting with my already existing wifi system

Hi. I have been using a streaming service called Xtreme HD IPTV for about 6 months now with no issues until the past few days where I cant seem to get any service on on it.  They are saying it an issues with my ISP ( Xfinity) but when i call them they tell me its and ARRIS issue and that Xfiniity cant help. The support team is telling me to disable an xFI advance security.. but i have no clue how to do this.  Any help for resolution on this is greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased a used Arris T25, I later learned that there is no label, I know I can get the device information like serial number and Mac number if I can log onto the device, it appears to be connecting fine when I attach it to Xfinity coaxial cable, but Xfinity blocks use of the device until activation which requires Mac number.Is there any other way to get the information on this device?
